Fantastic trip. Michal, our driver arrived on time and was a fantastic driver. He managed to get us to the tour on time, safely and in comfort. The tour itself was very informative and our tour guide, whose name I have sadly forgotten, was absolutely amazing. His knowledge was great and his version of events and how he described everything really added to the feel and experience. Extremely sad day but definitely worth the visit.

The museum cafe is under construction so definitely take food/snacks. Michal offered us one bottle of water but I would suggest taking one or two more as there is a lot of walking. The tour is quite long and you have to go through each area relatively quickly, but we were lucky going in beginning of Feb as it wasn’t that busy (we were told). Apparently around summertime it gets very overly crowded.

One thing I will point out is that the time you book for may change, and my understanding is that this is not the tour’s fault, it just depends when they are allocated an entry time for the day. So whilst we booked for 9am pick up, because we were allocated a 1pm entry the pick up time changed to 11:10am. This was fine for us as they notified of this a couple days in advance and we were able to prepare.

Overall we would definitely recommend! Thank you

Before the tour was updated re the schedule on what's app.Driver on time , couple of other hotel pick ups.
Kept informed on the minibus by Pavel our guide.
Was able to access the WiFi on board.
Had toilet stop first at a petrol station.
Then we stopped at a shepherds hut for cheese tasting and quince and cherry vodka .
Arrived in Zakopane and Pavel had sent out furnicular tickets by what's app along with other recommendations for what to do in Zakopane. He made sure that all the groups tickets were working for the furnicular
He then introduced me to the driver that would take ,3 of us back to the hot pools at 16:30.
Received what's app updates from this driver in the afternoon.
Left Zakopane and had time for a coffee at the pools. On the bus everyone received a bottle of water and croissant
All was as expected in terms of timings, safe driver and helpful and knowledgeable guide
Would use this company in the future

This was a full day doing both Auschwitz, Birkenau and the Saltmines. I researched these trips beforehand and to be honest was a bit overwhelmed with the choice and mixed reviews. We plumped for this in the end and I could not have been happier. The private guide picks you up from your hotel in an 8 seater quality minivan air conditioned with bottled water provided too. Our lovely guide Angelique was brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful. They take you to Auschwitz first which is about 1.5-2 hours drive. There was time for a coffee and freshen up before our tour started at 10.00am. The 8 of us then joined a larger tour of about 30 altogether which was fine. We had a. Fantastic English speaking guide there to take us round with headphones. We heard perfectly and she was brilliant I think her name was Yola. Couldn’t have been better. The tour took about 2 hours, lots of walking but not strenuous. Be prepared as it is emotional as everyone says but you cannot go to krakow and not see this. At 12 noon we left in our minivan to drive to birkenau only 5mins away where again Angelique makes sure we are set up with a guide, in this case Yola again. The walk around Birkenau is about 1.25 hours at a fair pace, more walking here as it’s mainly land and ruins. Again though a must see memorial to those you suffered. At about 1.30 we left for the salt mines and arrived there about 3pm. Angelique recommended a local restaurant which was fab and great value and we had a leisurely lunch break of around 1.5hours. Sounds a long time but it’s almost needed after the busy morning and travelling. The salt mine tour started at 4.30pm which is only a short walk with your guide to the entrance. Again you are added to a larger tour with an English speaking guide. The salt mines takes about 2.25-2.5 hours. It is a lot of walking. The journey down is 400 steps but not particularly fast or hard. I didn’t feel claustrophobic but some might. It’s not cold 14-16 degrees so a thin layered jacket or cardigan is fine. You need good footwear you are comfortable in and not slippy. Pay the photo taking charge of 10 zloty each its worth it. You can do this in the mine half way as well as beforehand. In the mine you can get drinks and snack stops it’s like a town underground! This is quite spectacular in parts so worth doing you just need to be pretty fit to do it. Our guide was the oldest in the place apparently George at 78yrs and whilst he is inspirational his English was difficult to understand at times. You couldn’t help but love him though. Entertaining probably more than educational! At the end of the tour you get the luxury of the lift back up but be prepared it’s a miners lift, very cramped and rickety but take a deep breath and it’s fine, you’re back up top in seconds and by this time I’d had enough walking ! We had to meet our driver back at the car park who then checked if we wanted any water and that we were ok before driving us back to our hotels, in fact she dropped us wherever each of us preferred in krakow and I couldn’t be more complimentary about her. All in all this trip was worth every penny and made it completely hassle free, everything I needed to know my guide told me so it was seamless. Best way to do this if maybe you’re not as confident out and about or just hate massive groups and coaches! Only watch out is if you are not physically fit enough for all the walking to do both in one day. Fantastic trip, great memories, educational and emotional must see..

Hi! So I rated this as terrible because I needed it flagged. Most of it was excellent except for the very end, which soured the whole trip.
Bus: The driver (can't remember his name) was friendly and safe. Got us from point A to B to C in a timely manner. Bus was clean. No complaints there.
Auschwitz-Birkenau: Fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide, Jola. It is a VERY sad part of history that must be seen in person. I went there when I was in my early teens and it just didn't resonate until I returned as an adult.
Wieliczka Salt Mines: Absolutely gorgeous! A must see attraction. The tour guide Alicja/Alicia (not sure of the spelling) was knowledgeable, but turned out to be COMPLETELY UNPROFFESIONAL! We were with an English guided tour, and at the end of the tour was a gift shop. She asked if anyone would like to stop and do some shopping. Maybe 3 or 4 people raised their hands, so she told us where to meet her when finished, and explicitly said "Take your time"! So we shopped, I mean when's the next time we would ever come to a place like this?! As we were heading to the meeting spot down the tunnel, she comes speed walking all in a huff saying everyone has been waiting for us for 20 minutes. Personally that's not a long time if you tell us to "take our time". It takes like 10 minutes just to look at what they have. Ok fine, we were scolded, we brushed it off, whatever. THEN, at the elevator, she sees a fellow tour guide and starts berating us in Polish, probably thinking that since we are on an English guided tour we don't know the language. My brother and I know Polish VERY well. She starts saying how we were like children gawking at candy, and she would've been going home sooner if we didn't take so long, and a few other things under her breath that made the other tour guide look at us. Pretty sure this made them realize that we understood what they were saying by the daggers our eyes were throwing at them, which made them stop talking all together. I really wish I had confronted her, but I knew I needed to cool down first, because the things that would've been said wouldn't have been nice.
Overall a great experience especially with Jola , but Alicja needs to have a serious talking to about professionalism in the workplace.

The experience overall was incredible.

The tour was very professional and great amount of time left in between to rehydrate and eat and rest a bit.

The driver was very nice and professional and the tour guide was also very nice and helpful and knowledgeable .

The 'but..' in my title was for the below, a word of advice before you go:

1. Don't worry if you didn't eat, there are stalls outside each site.
2. Rest up, cause there's a lot of walking .
3. The tour is about 3 hours however you have an hour drive each way so calculate around 5/6 hours for your tour.
4. Wear comfortable shoes. The paths are full of gravel and you will walk a lot.
5. Pack lots of water and take a small bag, the parks do not let you enter with backpags or big handbags, side bags and fanny packs are good . The company offers you one bottle of water but this time of year Is hot. Stay hydrated!
6. Take headphones and entertainment with you for the long drive and for the tour itself. The headphones provided are not that great, I would have preferred to have my own (personal preference)

Hope this helps!

This was a good experience and I'm glad I went on this tour, but I'm not sure it was any different than the many other operators offering the same trip. Lunch options were disappointing, I wish I had brought a packed lunch. If you happen to have your lunch break at the Auschwitz museum, I found out afterwards that you don't have eat at the cafeteria, there is a much better restaurant across the street.

My partner and I chose to visit both camps and the salt mines 👍🏻

We came across a local tour office in the old town.

We paid 440 zl

Which is cheap compared to others.

This includes a meeting point to get picked up from in the morning.

Pick up was at 8 at their other office on the other side of town but not too far.

You are asked to bring lunch with you, because the day is very busy and soon passes.

We had a nice Mercedes mini bus 🚌 which seated 8 + Lucas the driver.

The drive to auschwitz took a hour and half and everyone was quiet.

It’s nice to see a little of Poland 🇵🇱outside of Kraków, lovely big houses built on a lot of land.

you eventually begin to drive into open green space, which I found quite eerie itself.

Arriving at the camp you are given headsets to hear the tour guide.

In some places photos are
permitted but you are told.

The tour is a couple of hours and theirs a lot of information to take in.

Toilets cost 2zol like everywhere in Poland.

The second camp you walk the whole perimeter and is a lot more spread out.

This camp is ten minutes away.

We then drove back to Kraków to drop the people off who weren’t coming to the salt mines.

The journey from Kraków to salt mines was 20 minutes.

I loved this place.

It’s a couple hours tour.

To see what they made is brilliant.

They ask for 10zol to take photos but people just took them and the tour man said you could take a few sneaky ones.

You start the tour by taking 435 steps down underground but don’t worry you get a lift back up 👍🏻

Well worth it all guys.

My wife and I planned our trip to Krakow making sure we visited Auschwitz. We had pre-booked this excursion before we travelled. On the Saturday evening whilst in Krakow we recieved an email informing us we were to be picked up at 11.50 am for our excursion. On Sunday morning we arrived back at our hotel after breakfast to freshen up etc and by chance I checked my emails to find out our excursion had been cancelled giving no explanation. We rushed out to try and rebook for the same day but we were told it was too late. We were travelling home the next day therefore missing Auschwitz. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Our tour guide was called Conrad and he was absolutely amazing. So very knowledgeable, respectful, passionate and skilful in telling the factual stories of the horrors endured by so many people at Auschwitz. I can’t express in words the affect the visit had on me, but I do owe some of this to Conrad in the way he re-told the stories and pointed out so many details. Everyone should visit and I would highly recommend this company if all their guides are as passionate and knowledgeable as Conrad. In fact he was so good I would ask the company the days he works and request to have him as your guide. On a more practical level I booked from England, I received a reminder text the night before pick-up, the minibus was modern and everything ran smoothly. Excellent service... Thank you! We went to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum with a small group and a very friendly and knowledgable guide Konrad. Pick up from hotel. The trip was very enjoyable and showed the countryside. Once in Auschwitz-Birkenau the tour was very well coordinated and Konrad was outstanding with the information and explanations. I knew a lot about the Holocoust and WWII but it was very confronting being where it all took place. We left at 1pm and got back to Kraków after 8pm. The return trip was pretty quiet everyone was reflecting on what we had been shown. I know I was. The company provided water and an umbrella when it looked like it could rain. I recommend this trip to all that visit Kraków it’s something that everyone should experience. Thanks to Konrad it was a memorable day.
