About
Guided tours in English: Tuesday - Saturday at 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. In the Stained Glass Museum, exhibition spaces intertwine with the old stained glass workshop, functioning since 1902. The visitors can observe the process of stained glass creation, in the warm atmosphere of the historic workshop, directly above the heads of artists and craftsmen. For this reason visiting the museum is possible only with a guide and starts with at least two people. Ticket prices per person (including our English guide): 60 PLN, family (2+2) 200 PLN Visitors can also book workshops with master craftsmen and make their own stained glass souvenir. There are several workshops options: 2 hrs, 3 hrs (making a stained glass souvenir or jewellery) and 2-4 days long courses, at the price starting from 290 PLN. The price in each case includes: - guided tour of the museum and workshop - coffee break - creation of stained glass object under the artist's guidance - your own stained glass object to take home.

    A unique and exciting experience
A great combination of a museum and a workshop. Our guide Lucyna very enthusiastically described the stained-glass-making process in a lot of detail, and was happy to answer my many questions. The stained glass in the exhibition was beautiful. I'm very happy with the experience!

Great experience close to city center
Incredible experience. I had no idea before about the processes involved in Stained glass production, and the history of the museum itself is also fascinating. Our guide Alexandra was great at explaining everything, and asnwering questions. I cannot recommend this place more highly, especially if you have an interest in the subject.

    Amazing and fun experience
The whole experience was amazing and thoroughly enjoyable! Loved the patience and kindness shown by Paulina who took the time to answer all our questions and encouraged us to create our very own first stained glass art piece! Highly recommend for couples and family! Thank you Paulina and team for your efforts!

    Definitely visit here!
Fantastic visit - highly recommend coming here. Probably one of the best parts of our trip! The staff are very knowledgeable and the tour is excellent and interactive. There is a smaller display in the basement with interesting pieces and the examples of their work at the end of the tour are beautiful. The items sold in the shop are lovely and not too expensive!

    Don’t miss this unique tour!
Fabulous tour in English by an actual worker at the shop. Lucyna carefully explained the process used by the 120 year old firm to make stained glass. She patiently answered all our questions. Besides learning about the process, we saw several beautiful stained glass windows in their museum. There is also a coffee shop that sells souvenirs. Wonderful tour, very reasonably priced.

Kraków Stained Glass Museum - definitely worth a visit
Lovely museum in an old stained glass workshop, a place with history. Guided tour lasts about an hour, which is enough to benefit from the visit and not feel overwhelmed by the information. The guide, Lucyna, does great job with explaining the process of making stained glass creations. One can definitely learn some trivia.

    Great experience. Thankyou
I did the tour with Aleksandra followed by the shorter workshop which was a one to one as I was the only person there. It’s definitely given me the encouragement I needed to get started and I am now in the process of buying my starter kit and glass. She was very informative and it was a pleasure to spend time chatting about my life in Spain and her enthusiasm for crafting. Thankyou again Alessandras. I’m sure I’ll have some questions for you when I start my projects.

    Don’t miss this place!
This was a last minute booking/visit for us, after seeing so many positive reviews on here. Honestly, what an amazing place! We had a tour with Aleksandra, who was very engaging and knowledgeable, followed by a 3 hour workshop with Anna. Honestly what a place! Highly recommend! Not only is the process interesting but the history around some of the gallery pieces is just 😮😮 The workshop with Anna was fantastic and my husband and I have made 2 very awesome pieces, which will be very much admired and fondly remembered for many years to come. I should also add, the break in between the tour and workshop, is really well planned and a really lovely touch! I found that i relaxed into the space and definitely got more out of the workshop as a result of stopping in between. In short, go see this place! Thanks guys for making our visit so fantastic ❤️

Great lecture and very enjoyable workshop.
The museum is in an old building 5 minutes walk with National Museum. The 1 hour tour was conducted by Anna. She gave very interesting lectures about stained glass and the history of the museum/workshop apart from showing us beautiful stain glasses and the workshop. There is a shop and a cafe. It is small but nice and atmospheric. After that, I stayed for a 2 hour workshop led by Anna. She showed us different steps, tips and techniques. She was very sweet and extremely helpful. I made my first stained glass piece which I was very pleased and took home as a great souvenir. I would recommend 2 hours instead of one for the workshop because you will have more time and will be able to make a more beautiful and interesting piece. It was also a very enjoyable 2 hours for me. Highly recommended.

As an artist and stained glass maker myself, this was one of my reasons for visiting Krakow. (I could have gone anywhere else in the world.)

I occasionally go on holiday alone. Although my partner or friends join me sometimes, I like to freedom to please myself and go alone. Their free time work commitments don't always suit mine.

On entering the reception I was told that one person isn't enough to do a tour. A single ticket might not bring in a much money but how many single tourists or visitors don't attend because of this. A year's worth of single entry does add up.

I was offered one further date, but I booked on a walk run by 'Guru walks' The walks are free but one can offer a donation at the end. I gave the guide 200 zlopty for a differently themed walk.

The box office said said 'I should bring another person', which isn't really practical to ask someone from Scotland to join me then are there.

There didn't seem further dates during my stay that I can attend.

When I tried to visit I had 5000 zloty, plus my bank card. Without a tour, I didn't seem to have much opportunity to buy anything else, or in a buying mood, while there.

I am often in a generous mood, such as the 200 zloty, for the guided walking tour yesterday. Depending on the stained glass and their attitude I might have given a substantial contribution for a private tour.

It's quite a bad attitude arrive alone you get nothing, if there's with more than one then you get access to the museum and workshop.

I have been extremely generous with money, high tips at cafes and I've tipped musicians at the end of concerts, despite having a paid a ticket, I've given musicians a lot of money to say thank you. There's the local economy tourist support: museums, restaurants, concerts, taxis.

The two person rule is on their website, but it isn't very prominent. I only discovered it after I left. It never occurred to me there would be such a rule. I've never experienced in this country or abroad. There's no way someone buying a ticket knows if there is one one that day.

For an art museum, and a working studio space, it seems to care more about money than allowing an artist ( painter) and I do stained glass too back home,

Artist, often work alone. Artists, also sometimes travel alone too.

Very disappointed. I'll not return to Krakow, and probably not Poland again.

My partner and I took the guided tour and the short workshop afterwards. The tour was really interesting and our guide Maria gave us a really in depth view of the stained glass making process and the history of the museum itself. Then we had coffee and a pastry which was generously included in the price of the guide and workshop (which in itself was excellent value for money), and finally we had the chance to create our own glass souvenir. Maria was great at explaining what to do and we then got to take our creations home which makes for a lovely reminder of a fabulous experience and a wonderful holiday!

I went to the stained glass museum with my daughter when we visited Krakow, we booked the tour and the stained glass workshop. Our tour guide Aleksandra explained the process of producing a stained glass window and then showed us around the workshop area where the professionals were at work. After the tour we attended a workshop run by Anna who helped us make a stained glass souvenir, a really good 'hands on' experience.

Polecam

I recommend a visit to this studio, it is worth stopping in time in the studio where the works of m.in Stanisław Wyspiański "came from". It is beautiful to see the beginning of the stained glass creation process as well as the final result up close. I would like to add that it is worth going for a delicious coffee at this point. We loved our visit here! We learned so much and will definitely reccomend this to anyone coming to Krakow. The museum is small and I would highly recommend doing the guided tour with the workshop. Lucyna was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and helpful! With the workshop we got to create our own stained glass pieces and really loved the whole experience.

A beautiful building full of history, yet still very busy with new projects. The guided tour gives a clear and complete picture of the works that were and are being done there, showing the different parts of the workshop and a small but colourful museum area. Our guide was Aleksandra and she was the best, superknowledgeable and able to answer all sorts of random questions, being very flexible and patient too.

I also joined a 3h workshop after a break (in which I had one of the best croissants/rogaliki ever and a good coffee), in which Maria, the expert in charge, guided us through the process of making a stained glass decoration following the copper & tin process. Aside from being a true expert, she was really funny and open to changes in the style of the creation, showing how to improve it in a hundred ways. Hours passed so quickly, and the result of my work was not the disaster it would have been without her guidance, but it actually came out beautiful and original.

Thoroughly recommended, after living in Cracow for a few years I had always looked at the building with interest, but I did not know how cool it really is behind the façade.

4 of us did the stain glass museum & workshop tour. It’s a working ‘workshop’ and highly skilled crafts people were working away during the tour. Very interesting. We did the workshop after, and this really bought the experience together, making you understand how much work is involved. We all thoroughly enjoyed this event and would highly recommend. The drinks & snack break at half time was also very welcome.
Lucyna, our guide was very knowledgeable and very helpful with the creation of our own Stained glass pieces.
The exhibition in the basement on light also well worth a visit.
