Cracow Zoo is situated in a beautiful park. So the visit can be combined with a nice walk. Unfortunately, not all the animals have very good living conditions. Lions and tigers and pumas cannot be happy in their very small cages....

I love animals. Small, big, strong, weak, noisy, quiet, all shapes and forms. So whenever we visit a new town we look for a zoo. This one certainly did not disappoint us. The paths are wide and clean. Animals well fed, bright and in good conditions. Specifically the Asian Lions. We had a scare of our life when the male... More

Visited the zoo on 27th Dec. Expectantly quiet and cold so didn't expect much from the animals. A lot of exhibits were completely empty, others had maybe 1 animal in. If animals were in the housing, most couldn't be seen as you don't get access to them. Some cages, especially for the big cats are far too small. These are... More

A short bus ride from Krakow's Football Stadium this small but cheap zoo is a must, some large animals but obviously expanding as they can afford it situated on the top of a woodland hill makes it a perfect setting. Free toilets inside, but the only cafe is outside the entrance and you can nip in and out to eat.... More

What a great little zoo, cheap to get there (bus 134) and cheap to get in, some of the cages should be bigger or there shouldn't have the species, having said that all the animals looked in great shape. Well worth a visit will take about half day with travelling there.

We had planned to go to the air museum but in a last minute change of plans we opted to go to the zoo, being used to British zoo's where you seldom see animals and if you do they are 20 meters away behind 3 massive barriers and you paid £20 for the privilege. At this zoo however, the variety... More

Went on Monday, was free to enter no idea why, the website boast of having huge variety of species but am sure the majority are fishes and birds. Saw 2 chimps in tiny cages barely any room to properly exercise, elephants and tigers had barely any water in their enclosure, the otter had hardly any water to swim in plain... More

Firstly, it was well cheap to get in. Like, £2 for a kid and less than £4 for an adult! Absolute bargain. Secondly, the zoo was alright. Plenty of animals, including lions and tigers and red pandas and that. Penguins, elephants, you know, animals that zoos have. Downsides were the cages were quite small for some of the animals and... The tickets were quite cheap, which was a good start. Then we entered the massive zoo which definitely left an impression on us. It was honestly great, the only thing I would advise is to add paper maps at the entrance because it's easy to miss certain areas.

There are pluses and minuses to this Zoo. On the bad side: some of cages are really small for such wild animals [puma, lion, etc.] On the good side: OMG, the park is sooooo cute! Very beautiful, very neat, flowers everywhere, even small sculptures. And all animals look healthy and happy enough, except maybe for the wild cats. I would... More
