About
At the Amber Museum we share amber - the most beautiful thing we've got. We have gathered unique exhibits that show natural beauty of amber and prove its uniqueness, as well as providing valuable information about amber creation and the history of its treatment. The exhibits will also make one more sensitive to amber beauty and variety of its forms and hues. It will become clear here, why amber is the most beautiful of all stones.

Free small museum. Looks like a shop but the retail assistants don't try to sell. Go through the shop part and the museum is at the back. We went while waiting for our allocated slot for the underground museum.
Half an hour well spent. And we bought an Amber souvenir. Bear in mind though prices in the shop are more than you pay in the cloth market in the square but the quality of the Amber looked better in the shop.

My wife loves amber, and I collect minerals. This is a store which has a large room devoted to incredible pieces of amber and what can be made from it. The beauty of the jewelry and other items are amazing.

As above. Small shop/museum with interesting facts about Balkan Amber. Nice way to pass some time on our last day waiting to go to the airport.

Overrated!
Sadly,I have to agree with the one star reviews here.
On entering this establishment, I correctly preempted a cold welcome or more correctly,no welcome. I told the young lady that we are here to see the Amber Museum and was curtly told that you that this the shop and the “museum” is at the back.
Had a quick look around and decided to ask the lady on the best quality of Amber. It was quite an effort to get any advice on their products, if they understand the products they sell at all.
Needless to say ,the lack of help or maybe even knowledge did not convince me to make a purchase and I left without buying anything.

Amber museum is great. Exhibition is very interesting, and unique. The best thing about this museum is free entry and nice, helpful stuff.

You find a lot of Amber being sold in and around Krakow. This museum gives an insight into the industry, and at the end you can visit the shop and buy a piece.

We rather liked this little museum all about amber. It was nicely presented and clear information in English too. We mooched round the shop and the staff didn`t pester us even though we did not buy anything. It is a free museum and there were lots of different items to buy if you wished. We just enjoyed the bit of history from the are and then went next door for a fabulous ice cream afterwards.it is worth finding and wiles away half an hour or so.

Just a couple of minutes walk north of the main market square at 2 Ĺšwietego Jana Street is the beautiful little Amber Museum. (It's located in the back of the Amber Shop.)

Admission is free and the museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The exhibits include rough, cut, and polished pieces - both jewellery and art, as well as historical information about amber.

The exhibits are truly exquisite! Definitely worth a visit!

After a busy day walking around , was a welcome change to go into a small museum that was free. Just off the square easy to find . We had brief look round about half an hour . I had no idea Poland was famous for its Amber , and learnt how it was washed up by the Baltic Sea .

Beautiful Amber to look at and to buy, but probably would have been better if it was a talk or event .
