About
At the Amber Museum we share amber - the most beautiful thing we've got. We have gathered unique exhibits that show natural beauty of amber and prove its uniqueness, as well as providing valuable information about amber creation and the history of its treatment. The exhibits will also make one more sensitive to amber beauty and variety of its forms and hues. It will become clear here, why amber is the most beautiful of all stones.

We were looking for this and it looks like a shop at the front, but wow, when you get inside, you can learn so much.
All the labels and explanations were also in English which helps.
The ways of working with amber are so diverse, and how it was originally formed was fascinating.
As Krakow has so many Amber shops, and stalls on the market, it makes it much more interesting.
I would recommend searching it out when you go to Krakow.

As above. Small shop/museum with interesting facts about Balkan Amber. Nice way to pass some time on our last day waiting to go to the airport.

Kind of half museum, half shop but none the worse for it,they are in 2 distinct halves, you have to walk through the shop to get to the museum, but the sales people in the shop don’t hassle you or even acknowledge you unless you approach them,so not a problem.
Nice to see some of the older items that have been crafted using Amber over the years.

Neat little shop/museum and an interesting way to spend 15 minutes! We found it really interesting how Amber is made from tree sap giving it that unqiue color.
The museum has pieces with butterflies, beatles, and ants trapped inside the Amber which was neat to see along with different displays and items to purchase.  Its a free attraction and definitely worth a little look!

A magic place with unique exhibits that show natural beauty of amber. There are many reasons to visit the Museum. You can admire the exhibitions with the modernity - from classic amber beads, through incredibly feminine necklaces or bracelets, to unique sculptures and usable objects. You can also relax with a cup of delicious coffee and "amber" reading in our reading room.

So nice to know more about different colors of
AMBERS in this shop and a small museum at the back room !
POLAND is WELL KNOWN for AMBERS !
The best color is DULL YELLOW EGG YOKE not transparent color !!
It also very EXPENSIVE !! It’s a healing stone for health and keep evil away as my maternal grandma ‘s said from China !
REAL AMBER can test by 3 cups of WATER and 1 cup
of SALT WATER ... mixed well ! If the amber FLOATS on top is real and if it SINKS to bottom ... IT’s FAKE :(
BEWARE of FAKE AMBERS sell everywhere in Poland !

This place is torally misold on the website and social media in relation to what its all about. There is no information about the origins of amber, how its formed etc...the staff say they can 'answer questions if you have some' but are toyally lacking in providing any information. It is a glorified amber shop, not a museum.

You find a lot of Amber being sold in and around Krakow. This museum gives an insight into the industry, and at the end you can visit the shop and buy a piece.
