The first time we tried this place, we couldn't get in as it was so busy, but as it looked so cool, we decided to try again the next evening and had a bit more luck that time. Glad we did too as it had a really nice, laid back feel to it and a great range of drinks. The clientele was a good mix - mostly in their 20s and 30s, but I think it would appeal to anyone of any age. If you found the exact same bar in Shoreditch, it would be ten times the price and completely pretentious, but there was none of that here. It was just a great place to go hang out with friends or your partner to enjoy good music and a drink. I'd definitely go back. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is that we noticed a guy on our second night there who may have been the manager (he definitely had some sort of relationship with the staff), who took up an entire 4-seat table on a busy night where people were coming in looking for somewhere to sit, and just sat staring at his phone all night, not budging or speaking to anyone. Bit weird and off-putting!

If there's one pub I know I'm going to visit on any trip to Krakow I take it's Alchemia . This is the best pub on Plac Nowy in the Jewish Quarter ,the interior is superb,a cute looking ancient looking serving bar ,wonderful and eclectic decor and furnishings spread throughout this four roomed pub and lots of seating options both inside and outside looking out onto the always busy and bustling Plac Nowy . We were here on a Tuesday afternoon ,we queued at the bar and ordered two pints of beer from Tyskie Brewery,these were served iced cold and sparkling ,we just kicked back,chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. This is one of the most popular pubs in the Jewish Quarter both with locals and tourists ,it's got a great vibe and atmosphere all of it's own ,as for the beer well it was delicious ,a light,hoppy and very drinkable lager style beer bursting with taste that when served iced cold as in this pub is such a refreshing beer and on a hot afternoon with temperatures in the mid 30's it was just what we needed to cool down. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on ,we only stayed for the one each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Alchemia is easy to locate along Ulica Estery on Plac Nowy,a square and area in the Jewish Quarter teeming with pubs,bars and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday ,9am till 2am. Friday & Saturday,9am till 3am. Sunday,9am till 2am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

This place is mostly known as a bar / underground club but make no mistake, here you can get one of the best Eggs Benedict in Kraków. It’s located in front of the bazar in the Kazimierz district and although the interior resembles an old, slightly tired living room, the breakfast offering is authentic, rustic, prepared to perfection. Forget about your hotel breakfast and treat yourself to a local experience.

Like a lot of places in Krakow, the bar is quite dark. Also, service is without a smile. I only popped in for a beer one evening and had to queue while one guy was serving. The bar was packed so I was waiting for around 10 minutes while people in front of me ordered beers, coffees, herbal tea and cocktails. Perhaps I was just unlucky as another member of staff appeared just as I got to the front of the queue. I only had the one drink and as I left there was no one waiting, but there are better bars in the area in my opinion

Very characterful place with good beer, nice atmosphere and suitable music. I appriciate that aside of polish beer they also have czech beer on draft. Inside room are oldfashioned and beautiful. Highly recommend to visit.

Good in the daytime but this place comes alive at night. Dark dingy and atmospheric. Lit only by candies. Sit outside and watch the world go by or sit inside and soak up the atmosphere. Took a wrong turn and went into the cellar where a 5 piece jazz band were on. Lots of different acts perform downstairs or DJ’s doing sets. Drinks priced ok and bar staff really helpful.

I have visited Krakow many times over the years, and for years I keep missing out on a visit to Alchemia which is a excellent dive bar nestled in Kazimierz just off the market square. Me and my wife were going to meet up with some friends, and we had a few moments to kill, so thought we would pop in to Alchemia for a beer. We had been in during the way, but just did not feel right during the day, but late at night is when it really shines. Dark Gothic-like feel to this place, with hardly any light except candles on the tables, its a place that you will find yourself growing to like. Wish we had visited more than once, but will be back next time.

Great bar in the square on the outskirts of the main city. We preferred the nightlife in and around this area to get away from the main tourist section. This bar is reasonably priced and has good selection of beers and cocktails on offer. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the staff are friendly.

Brilliant breakfast. I walked past this place last night and the breakfast menu appealed as did the location. This morning, as I wanted breakfast near the Old Synagogue, I headed here and ordered the eggs Florentine and a cappuccino. Sitting outside in the morning sun whilst the market square was just starting to wake up would have been a great way to start any day. Add one of the most delicious Eggs Florentine I’ve ever had the delight to eat anywhere and the day gets off to a rip roaring start. Service was charming, food was delicious, coffee was great. It would have been a bargain at twice the price quite frankly. I’m intending to head back here later this week for their delicious sounding sweet pancakes with rhubarb and other things I can’t quite recall right now but I’m looking forward to eating!

What a fantastic bar. Friendly staff. Lovely chilled ambience. It is very dark with candle light which adds to the ambience. Drinks are cheap even for high end liquor. This is my favourite bar in Krakow
