We booked a guided tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau via TURPOL. We were picked up at the desired pick-up point near the hotel, and we were driven all the way to the front. The experience we had in Auschwitz was absolutely indescribable! We had a Swedish guide, and he was very skilled. After Auschwitz we went to Birkenau - there we received the lunch package we had pre-ordered, which exceeded expectations with both sandwiches, yoghurt, fruit etc. We ate it outside a cafe at Birkenau - it was very full and there were few seats - which is the only negative I can point out!
Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience! We will continue to recommend you.

Kristoffer gave us an excellent guided tour in Swedish which allowed the whole family to follow and understand this whole horrible story. It was guaranteed to be a memory for life that everyone should take part of. Good and safe transport to and from Krakow and just the right length to make the works too long or too stressed.

Fantastic organized tour! Reservation through Swedish speaking staff. Private transport by car which also arranged with lunch box. The guide at Auschwitz-Birkenau really made his mark, his voice still remembers. Can really recommend Turpol. Very affordable and memorable day trip.

Fantastically well-guided to Auschwitz-Birkenau with professional, highly experienced and engaging guide Krzysztof (Kristoffer) who was extremely attentive to our needs and overall wellbeing, ensuring our experience was superb; if one can use such words for such a heartbreaking place.
As a family from Norway, Krzysztof spoke fluent Norwegian to us throughout the entire day, answering all our various questions in great detail.
Would 100% recommend Krzysztof to anyone, especially Norwegians and Swedes interested in a guide that speaks their language.
Thank you so very much, Turpol and Krzysztof!

We went on a day tour to Auschwitz booked with Turpol. The organisation was perfect, easy to correspond with them, the driver was on exact time to pick up. A lunch sandwich was included but I would recommend to bring something to eat because it was only white bread with cheese.
We had a guide in english but she was unfortunately very difficult to listen to as she was not showing any engagement at all and spoke like she read something out of a book without separating sentences.

Me and my mum travelled here in January 2017 for my 30th birthday. The coach picked us up at 8.30 and we set off we got to camp 1 about 10. There we where given headsets and a battery pack to hear the guide. We then started walking through where the guide would give us lots of information. The guide was amazing I would definitely advise having a guide to explain what you are seeing and so the reality Of what your witnessing sinks in. The day we choose to visit was -12 it was freezing and I'm glad we visiting on that day as you can have some kind of idea what the victims went through. After half a day at camp 1 looking at the rooms gas chambers etc we stopped for dinner then drove to camp 2. When we go there the size of the place was overwhelming. It was as far as the eye can see for 360 degrees. Again the guide took us round and gave us lots of information. This is a must see for anyone going to Poland!!

Fantastic guide, Katerina, for our trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau. She spoke swedish fluenty and guided us through the horror with a very pleasant voice, she emphasized the human perspective of it all and showed a lot of respect. She also handled a situation on our minibus travelling there with great calm. Thank you Katerina and we really can recommend Turpol.

We signed up for this tour online and were picked up at our hotel, just as scheduled. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, the van clean. So much for pleasantries.
The tour of the Auschwitz complex was an emotional one, with many visitors wiping away tears. The exhibits pretty clearly detailed the depths of inhumanity that the final solution represented. But Auschwitz itself, a concentration camp, paled in comparison to Auschwitz II – Birkenau, a death camp, built solely for the purpose of industrial-scale murder. The row upon row of barracks, or their surviving stone foundations, gave a sense of the vast scope of the enterprise.
It’s taken me over a month to put into words my experiences while visiting the site. Unlike other tourist venues, there were no loud crowds of people bantering, just awed silence as people left the exhibits. Auschwitz was sobering, depressing, and thought-provoking, but a must-see to put the 20th century in context.
Thanks to Poltur for the excellent, professional conduct of this tour.

We joined Poltours trip to Auschwitz today. Really a great, though scaring experience. Katarina, our guide, who spoke fluent swedish, was excellent. I can recommend Poltur 100%. Don't go for the cheaper alternatives offered by local trip providers. Poltur is very professional and great value for money.

This is a must-see when visiting Kraków. The tour was really good, we were guided in Swedish and our guide Katerina (probably wrongly spelled, sorry) was amazing. I can highly recommend this tour!
