The most representative part of what was to be "the ideal socialist town". Its "main square". Sadly, despite great potential to become a focal space to visit (imposing social realist architecture and unique urban planning and history behind it) it is still kinda forgotten by the Mayor and City Council of Kraków. Still, full of people in summertime. Surprisingly, the site is more popular amongst foreigners (wanting to learn about unique model communist town) than locals (who still hold, quite understandably, bad associations with communism times). It probably just needs attention, investement, renovation and some funky ideas. And having a branch of university (meaning influx of young people) wouldn't be bad :)
Anyway, the place is a must, but maybe sometimes hard to understand being there on your own, so try going there with a tour guide, for example with FREEwalkingTOUR.com (ranked very high - 3rd or 4th here on TripAdvisor)

I went here when i did a Tour and i was really pleasently surprised. I really like the Communist look which is something I didn't expect
I believe this is where the town hall was meant to be but it was never built.
There is a really nice traditional what we would call cafe here in the u.k. I wish i remembered the name. The food was really good and cheap. Nice for a stroll
Well worth a visit

I have spent 3 years living very close by.. it is just a street like many others in krk.. i guess it is representative of the socialist idea but unless you are a historian or a hipster there is nothing there for you. its quite far off the center of krakow and there is nothing to do once you get there
