Despite its 3 Star rating, its not a bad place to visit, it just needs some cash spending on it.
The large conference area in the middle could surely house some armour of which there isn't any. Alot of the exhibits downstairs are quite dark, and there is a haunting statement in Polish repeating and repeating.....they have a tankette, made I believe of wood, which could be great in an area with tanks etc in the conference place...I guess like anything else....it needs money spending.
What we did see for the most part was interesting, though again many exhibits had only Polish explanations, and I don't speak it...the mainly Mauser type gun exhibition on the top floor is superb, but a lack of automatics was a bit of a disappointment.
The V2 missile downstairs again could be brought up into the conference area, that would look great.
Overall a little on the negative side, but it could be really good.

Fantastic and in-depth, two floors to explore and not very busy. Lots of information on the WW2 occupation of Poland and allied involvement. Friendly staff.

Very informative museum of Poland's role in world war 2 along with the underground movement. Very impressive displays including General Bor Komorowski's military uniform. The building itself was a supply depot for the Germans which was assaulted by the Armja Krajowa museum in WW2.

If you have an interest in the story of Polish resistance during the Second World war then this museum is a must. The detail is incredible and some of the original documents on view are staggering. And the end of the exhibition is incredibly sad too as the story of how the Soviets dismantled the Home Army after liberating Poland from the Nazis beggars belief.

When we visited the museum there were very few other visitors which was a shame given how good a museum this is and reflects that this museum is not so well advertised as other Krakow museums . It also isn't easy to reach the museum as it is located behind the central railway station in an are of building. Working out how to get there nearly disuaded us from visiting (we used the nearest tram stop at the University Economic Dept to reach it) but I'm glad we persisted. It really is worth the effort and tremendously good value.

This museum is free on Sundays, and worth a visit. The exhibition's were interesting where there were photos that you could pull out from draws and place into the light.

My husband and I visited today and got lucky as admission on Sundays is free. What a nice surprise. On other days, I believe it’s only around $4.00. Not bad at all. Be sure to eat and drink before arriving, as there is no where to purchase anything at all. There are restrooms. The museum is arranged over 3 floors. They have lots to look at and is well done. The videos and most everything is in polish. If you don’t speak polish, it’s difficult. Some of the signs are in English though. We still enjoyed it overall. Upon going to the upper floor where the guns are, I was hit with a wave of bad bad energy and had to go sit down as I felt I’d pass out. Once I went back downstairs felt fine again. My husband got a very bad headache up there and felt fine after going back downstairs. Something isn’t right up there. Overall, good museum. There were lots of school groups even on a Sunday. We spent about an hour there.

Me and my.son (11yrs) visited this museum as it was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We only paid 26 zlty , just over £5. We got a tour route for the museum which is on 3 floors, this was in English and all of the displays were labelled in Polish and English. In the basement there were scenarios set up with a good variety of artefacts including a mock up of the V2 rocket. The ground floor goes through the war years of Poland. The upper floor is mainly glass cases full of weapons, some older ,most wartime and a few modern.
Access to all floors was by stairs but there was also a lift. The layout means it will be suitable for visitors with disabilities of wheelchair bound. Good toilet facilities on site as well.
For the price, it was a very good museum to visit.

It's a little off the beaten track but well worth finding to visit. The displays inside are well laid out and the whole museum is well presented. A lot of the signage is in Polish only but you get the gist of what's happening. Interesting and informative it shows what the people of Kraków had to endure during and after the 2nd World War

Firstly, location is out to the east, aim for tunnel under main Kraków train station, big brick building, left at first round about. Paid about £4. As other comments note: very dim lighting. An audio tour in English was not yet available. Little English on one level, better on the other floor. 2.5 levels to see. A snap shot of Polish times when the Nazi's arrived and then as WW2 ended the equally oppressive communist times. A real education. Great to see school children there. I was the only adult at that time ! Thick fog on the day, made it hard to find.
Some excellent exhibits and a vast variety of guns.
Labelling could be massively improved and more artefacts added, hopefully with time....
