Christopher Skutela is an exceptional private tour host who inspires a deep respect for his hometown of Krakow and its citizens. At our request, he set up a private food and city walking tour (Joanna), and he set up a 6-hour private tour at Auschwitz-Birkenau (Marta). Krakow’s food is as multi-layered as its history and Joanna was our fantastic foodie guru. Marta's 15-year experience as a guide at Auschwitz-Birkenau was phenomenal. Her compassion was evident as she told us stories of personal friendships with survivors and their relatives as we walked pathways that led to certain death or possible survival. Highly recommend!

Excellent and informative tour by Christopher. Lovely comfortable transport from the hotel. The tour at Auschwitz was by a great guide and gave us an in depth knowledge and history of the camps. Highly recommend Christopher's tours. We will definitely use this company again on return to Krakow.

Amazing Tour! Christopher is great. We had a 1/2 day tour with him then the Auschwitz tour. he is knowledgeable and extremely friendly! We got a full experience in Auschwitz and Birkenau (though with a Auschwitz guide in the camp by camp rules). He described the history, personalities and stories behind the camp. We also got a lot of history of Poland as well as friendly advice on restaurants, other sights, trips outside Poland - he knows it all and is willing to share - great time.

Originally I was looking to see if we could do a private tour of Auschwitz since we were going with our teenage kids, but in the end we did 4 tours including Auschwitz, the salt mines, a walking city tour of Krakow, and Zakopane. Two tours were with Christopher, Zakopane and our airport transfers were with Thomas, and our walking city tour was with Kasia. All of the tours were excellent with very knowlegable guides who knew their history extremely well and were very friendly. christopher was extremely accomodating setting up the tours, making restaurant recommendations and reservations, and even taking us to the airport on our way back from Auschwitz so we could get our covid tests performed for our trip back to the US. The Auschwitz tour was excellent and it was very nice to have it be private so we could ask questions and go at our own pace. Of note, I did not see one other small group at Auschwitz or Birkenau all day so it was special to be able to do that. Our trip up to Zakopane was excellent although the weather did not cooperate and it was raining so we did not get to see the Tatra mountains and enjoy the views. Thomas was excellent though and helped us adapt the tour to what we were interested in. It was nice to get out of the city and see the countryside though and I really enjoyed the houses in Chocholow and trying the cheese. Thomas was also our driver to and from the airport and we really liked him. Kasia was fantastic for the walking tour and we learned a lot from her. We weren’t sure if we were going to do that tour at first but it really gave us a better appreciation for the city and it’s history and layout. I highly recommend Private Tours Krakow for all your tours during your stay.

Our firm hosted the Outdoor Live Virtual Tour for a few of our attorneys and contacts and it was a big hit! Thank you so much to Christopher. He allowed us to immerse ourselves in Old Town Krakow without having to leave our homes :)
