I’ve always wanted to visit a shooting range and i enjoyed firing the guns as much a as i did but it felt very rushed. The whole experience took about 20 minutes. We were the only people there so the men could have taken their time but it felt like they just didn’t want to be there. We had no safety briefing at all which felt very dangerous considering we was holding multiple firearms. Nothing else wa said. They could have went through the guns we selected and gave abit of information instead of just a conveyor belt. We also booked the chrome gold dessert eagle and never got it we only got a black one which is fine but still :/

Not being a stranger to military small arms & shooting sports I coincided my latest visit to Kraków with a trip to Grotgun, which provided an opportunity to shoot firearms that are prohibited from legal ownership in the UK.
I created my own package by emailing, a couple of weeks in advance & received prompt replies from Daria, who was incredibly helpful & polite throughout.
On the day I arrived 15mins early & was asked to take a seat outside.
My package was ready by the allotted time & I was greeted by my instructor/supervisor, Rafal. He was very professional, knowledgeable, spoke fluent English & was a really great guy to chat to. I had an excellent time shooting the various firearms, under his supervision & took the opportunity to buy additional ammunition to use, until the next customers arrived.
In summary this is a great concept, in terms of something out of the ordinary to do & is suitable for both experienced shooters & complete novices alike.
I’d say if you have any interest at all in this type of thing & you’re in Kraków, then definitely give Grotgun a try! Personally I had an absolutely first class experience, from booking through to the actual day. I also got a good insight into the Polish shooting sports scene. If I get the opportunity I’ll definitely return!

Spent 2 days in Krakow and decided to book Grotgun for a shooting trip. From start to finish the entire episode was first class, Daria took excellent care of our booking and made sure we got exactly what we wanted at a fantastic price, When we arrived at the range Francuz our instructor gave detailed explanations of what we were going to be shooting. Having never handled guns like these before we were made to feel confident of using these guns and enjoyed a very good hour or so shooting various pistols, rifles etc. I would thoroughly recommend anyone wishing to visit Poland and shoot some guns to give Grotgun a try, Only a 10 minute trip from the airport and excellent value for money.

Awful experience , ignorant and rude “trainer” who gave zero training and was shouting at me for not holding the gun properly the first time. Had been here 7 years ago with friends and encounter the pig ignorant individual then too. Thought we wouldn’t have the bad luck to get him again unfortunately enough we did. Avoid at all costs . Trust me if you do go you’ll know who this person is within 5 seconds

We have never fired real guns before so this was a completely new experience to us. It is about a 20-25 minute taxi from the main square into the middle of nowhere right at the end of the twierdz hotel. It is sort of indoors but lanes and targets are 18m away outdoors. You are basically inside a glorified shed which has two firing lanes. The booking was by email whilst we were there. The two guys who instruct you are very good. Their English is very good and their humour and clear instruction for complete novices are just as good. The experience for four was over in half an hour! They are very organised. We chose the mid package (£37 each) and it was superb. Shooting four guns (glock pistol, polish Uzi, ak47 and a shotgun) it was a quality experience and a huge adrenalin rush. You can buy extra ammo for use on other guns, but I thought this was expensive as it works out at £1 a bullet! Apparently there is another range in Krakow so a comparison could be made. Would we visit next time we go to Krakow - YES.

Fast safetylesson, no room for questions. The shooting was over in few minutes, and they ran trough 10 people in 20 minutes. Just squeeze the trigger and you was done... Fun to shoot, but not a great experience. Good for them though, as they made over 3000PLN in 20 minutes.

Had an amazing day at Grotgun. I went for the 75round package which includes an ak-47, glock, a shotgun an a few more. The instructors were super nice and they make you feel really relaxed. They give you time at the end of your session to get some pictures with the weapons, it was so much fun! Definitely recommend this to anyone however be warned that the guns are bloody heavy! Muscles are sore the next day!

The staff was not really helpful, wouldn't help me choose the weapons when asked ("just choose what you want, but quickly"), I did take part in competitions in the past and wanted to learn and practice, but they would only rush me, laugh at me and, when asked what I can improve, would answer "I don't know". No professionalism, no advises, briefing lasted 30 seconds and didn't include the most important safety instructions, very patronising and sexist (not a comfortable place for women), but maybe the previous shooting range I was a member of (Strzelka, Rzeszów - recommended!) just set the bar too high. + There is no information on the website that you can only pay by cash, wasted time and got stressed when trying to pay by PayPal, also got told off for it. Not a good experience.

The experience is fantastic firing a Kalashnikov an Uzi a Glock pistol and a .378 revolver. Considering there was only 2 of us and nobody waiting you are rushed in a quick briefing on the guns then we were asked to shoot from 2 ranges at the same time so the firing only lasted about 10 minutes (75 rounds each). We realise the seriousness of the instructors jobs but felt they could make the experience more interesting taking time and explaining the scope etc of the guns. After the firing the atmosphere changes and you can take a number of photos with the unloaded guns. I have seen this constructive criticism of a number of ranges. I am only writing this to say if more time had been given really good feedback would gain more business. Thanks Grotgun for the experience though. We booked via Crazy Guides in Krakow who picked us up and took us back in a 1072 Trabant The overall price was very good thanks.

The shooting range is just out of town , we got a cab for the 4 of us which as about £5. We where 2 couples with no experience of guns ,but the instructors were very helpful explained all the safety measures and gave us advise while shooting to get the best results on the target. With our package which cost about £65 we had 75 rounds using 7 guns. My only comment would be it would have been nice to have all shot with one gun before moving on to the next gun , due to the fact that our arms could have done with a rest between shots , I am sure we could have done this if we had asked. It was a really exciting experience and after photos we all left with our paper targets as souvenirs ,Like kids coming home from a school trip , we would definitely like to do it again

Do you just email and reserve? Is it prepaid or do you pay on arrival?

Hi, you can choose and book your package on the website and you pay in cash when you have finished shooting. We had such a great day last time, we are going again next week. Hope this helps.

As answers above you buy "packages" to fire different guns but you can also build your own package. After you have done your package they also offer you the chance to fire other guns and tell you how much they cost. Bigger the caliber of bullet the more it will cost ! Expect to spend at least £50 to get a good range of things but I think we spent a bit more than that

How do I book? When buying a package for the kinds of guns and amount does that price include a guide?

I just sent them an email and they got back to me with times and dates available. You are helped at all times, they don't leave your side when you are shooting. I had the basic package and they loaded the gun for me. My husband had the extreme package was great fun. They are very friendly people you won't be disappointed. We got a taxi from hotel in old town and it cost £6.00 and took about 25 minutes to get there.

We paid around £50 each but there are various packages that you can get and you can also pay extra after the package to fire a variety of guns. We got to fire a 9mm Glock, a 9mm Uzi, an AK47 and a 12 gauge shotgun. We then paid a bit extra for one of the guys to fire a Russian second world war snipers rifle. After your package is finished and you wanted to shoot other guns the price would depend on which weapon and what sort of ammo you are firing. I am ex army and the two guys that ran it the day we were there were on the ball and made sure of a very safe environment. Also the other five guys I was with had never shot guns in their lives and they enjoyed it very much. It was a good addition to the stag do that we had

Is it possible to go alone ?

Hello, sorry for the delay in answering. Yes, it is possible to go alone. I went on my own in September 2016 with no problems at all. You must email Grotgun Shooting Range to tell them you are a lone visitor, and they will advise you of the dates and times you may visit them as a single person. Please speak to Daria J and she will contact you back.
All the best.
