Great architecture

The theatre is huge, architecture great, so go there even you have no tickets fir a show. Its worth of seeing and taking some pictures from outside.

We have not been in this theatre but always have a look at the amazing architecture when in Krakow. Easily found close to the Florian gate. The building is a lovely colour and is covered in sculptured faces and flowers. The front of the theatre has some lovely statues on the top and there are plenty of heads adorning the... More

At end of September I had visited Teatr Słowackiego to quite famous performance "Tango Piazzolla". The performance was outstanding specially the Great music, played live by the band "Tango Bridge" led by Grzegorz Frankowski, they played the most beautiful hits of Piazzolla and obviously passionate tango that will take us into the world of the senses and desires. as a building it's very beautiful, but as a Theater it does not have anything to offer, same old plays since years. I would recommend it only for those who are interested in this type of architecture, but definitely not to go to see a performance

I wanted to see a show in this theater. It would have been a perfect trip with a show in a historic theater. Unfortunately the tickets get sold quite ahead of time. If you plan to see any performance, plan ahead of time. Experience will be quite a time travel. Well what is not a time travel in Krakow!

One of the most beautiful public buildings...take lots of photos because everyone loves to see it. This was formerly the opera house but was converted for theater.

We have not been into the theatre so cannot comment on the interior. The outside is very beautiful, lovely sand coloured with lots of sculptures along the top all the way around. There are lots of unusual heads a bit similar to the top of the Cloth Hall but the sculptured heads and musical instruments on the side of the... More
