Good atmosphere, visit on the weekend, has more. Open market with stalls interesting. Free tours offered on the streets subsidized by city. Mini trams tours on the streets for a price to visit neighborhood attractions so you don't have to walk. Horse drawn carriages all around.

Pony carriages are everywhere! The horses look well cared for and it certainly is amazing to see. The square itself is full of bars, cafes and of course, the main market, where you can buy enough amber to last a lifetime.

really scenic square in the old town, with a bric a brac and jewellery market. Great place if you want to collect WW2 memorabilia and communist era badges etc Plenty of restaurants encircling the square but pricey compared to the rest of the city. Loads of horse and carriage tours and tours by extended golf carts, however the whole area... More

Great atmosphere and place to loose yourself both by day & night. Food/drinks is as expected more expensive than off the beaten track but take the time to take a seat and people watch

I live in SF, and to Krakow locals I'm sure this is like their Fisherman's Wharf. But, I found it to be lovely and a great place to sit and watch all the people, listen to live music (which is all over Krakow), have a cocktail, and just soak it all in. Really enjoyed the outdoor market of local craftsmen... More

This part of the city is catered for with many thriving restaurants. There is an unusual arcade of craft stalls selling a multitude of gifts from jewellery to fancy goods. From this area the Horse Drawn carriages operate visiting the Tourist Sites.

It's an incredible market square, well spread out, full of life, people coffee shops, restaurants... its really a nice place to be. It's busy but it's also very laid back and chilled. Loved the atmosphere here a lot. Especially on a Friday when the market stalls all open up and you get street food... the smell of everything is amazing!
