This was one of the most beautiful monuments of old time. A quick stop by our buggy driver to explain to us the history of the same. Beautiful architecture.

Well worth a visit. Lots of history, including Copernicus. Nice library, good presentation of the university's history, a guide recommended.

It is only possible to visit the Collegium Maius with a guided tour. It is not always possible to obtain tickets without reservation. Especially the English tour is popular. We made a telephonic reservation just on our name and that worked perfectly. For the English...More

Great overview of Poland's oldest university's origins to the end of Communism, the faculty's organization and significant academic figures from Capernicus and the historical events that shaped the University over 600 years.

So pretty and interesting!! You can get to know the place where Copérnico studied, a University with a beautiful but hard history. Besides, the building and the garden are just so pretty!

I would also recommend doing the guided tour in English, it was very informative and the cost was minimal - just over £2 (and half price for me as a senior).
