Worth a visit
A terrible reminder of how lucky we are to live today rather than during those terrible times

Picked up by our lovely driver Jake, he was an absolute pleasure. Arrived on time, gave us a little bit of info about the places we passed on the way to the tour, really made us feel welcome. When we arrived it was easy for us to find our tour group as the guides where all very helpful and on point. The tour itself was fantastic and very touching, the information that we was given on the tour about the background of the camps and the bunkers where very interesting and really brought to light how much of a horrible inadequate places this camp really was. Would definitely recommend!

The third day is the last but not least.
As you can guess, you can’t come to Poland without visiting the unforgettable Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
This day is going to be full of emotions and really moving, but this camp reflect the History of Krakow and you can totally understand what all the Jews have been through.
This visit is also going to be long and quite exhausting physically but also emotionally, but it’s the unmissable visit here in Krakow.
You definitely have to book a guided visit if you want to enjoy a real and full one with clear and accurate explications.
You have to note that the toilets in Krakow are paying (2 zlotys which represent 0,50 centimes in euros).
I advise you to take a sandwich with you as you can’t find restaurants close to the camp.

Coming back in the afternoon with few hours left, enjoy again the wonderful city center of Krakow full of colors and joy.
If you’re travelling with a hand luggage, which is suggest you cause it’s actually efficient for 3 days, take a break at Staropolskie Trunki, an alcohol shop close to the P&J apartment where you’ll be able to find an all bunch of different alcohol and some local ones that worth the detour.
They have quite a lot of 100ml bottles that permit you to bring some of them with you on the airplanes !

From start to finish the tour was brilliantly organised. Patrick arrived where we were to be picked up bang on time and his minibus was immaculate.

An hours drive took us to Auschwitz where Patrick kept us informed of local sights.

At Auschwitz we met Marta who was our guide. She was fantastic, very knowledgable and her English was superb.

The tour was well formed and I left having learned a lot and with a heavy heart.

A short transfer to Birkenau and the tour continued with the same high standard.

We would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks to Patrick and Marta.

We were lucky to have a very passionate, knowledgable and enthusiastic guide from Auschwitz town. I wish i knew her name. We learnt so much, and despite the upsetting facts, we were glad to have gone on the tour. Unfortunately there are far too many visitors. We went at 10.30am. We did however meet some people who went at 1.30pm and they said it wasn't overly busy. Booked through Get Your Guide, and were collected from our accommodation. They were excellent. Highly recommend, but probably try to go midweek.

Let me begin by saying the entire reason to visit Krakow was to see Auschwitz.
I originally contacted the company in July 2019 via email and received confirmation of my booking.
I was told closer to the date of departure she’d let me know the exact pick up time. At 7:50am on the 7th of Sept I received an email stating they could pick up at 8am. I responded several minutes later asking if we would leave the city that early or pick up other passengers. At 1:57pm she responded asking if she should book the places for us? As we were on another tour at that time I didn’t received that email until 5:30pm and then responded that as far as I knew we were already booked.
Long story, short, others were booked in our place and they didn’t have seats for us on the English tour. I called them upon putting 2 and 2 together and was told they’d call me back in 5 minutes. Twenty minutes later, nothing. Either they didn’t answer their phone or in one case hung up. I called multiple times only to be told the final story that they had no spot for us.
I then had to scramble to find another operator to go with. I did this and when I finally did talk to, I believe Adam, over an hour later he told me he’d booked me with another company but not the same type of tour I’d originally booked with them.
This was a headache I didn’t need and they had NO reason to cancel a tour I had a confirmation for.

Bottom line...save yourself the grief if Auschwitz tour is important and DO NOT book with this company.

Dear Kathleen, I'm really dissapointed with your review as the fault is not only on our part. As you said you have contacted us on July 2019, you have also received the confirmation letter for which you have never replayed (as you didnt prepay the reservation we supposed that you are not interested anymore). I asked you few days before the day of the 'tour' if you still want to join us- and i didnt get the replay till the day before the tour. Anyway we tried to organize for you the tour with the shared transport (as you didnt want the privat), tickets for Auschwitz and Birkenau and also English speaking guide (so the tour which you wanted do with us), we recived very unpleasant message from you ;forget itl;. So dear madame if you are putting the review on tripadvisor, please write as it was.. from A to Z. Regards

Such an eye opener to what I already knew. Very harrowing. Could not believe the disrespect of some people . There were parts of the tour that you were asked not to take photos people still did. Selfies?!! Aushwitz and Bercaneau is not a place for selfies. It's about realising the atrocities that were committed and never ever allowing it to ever happen again!

It was so impressive and horrendous at the same time. The guides are very well informed and treat it all very respectfully.
Good to know: maximum size baggage is the size of an A4 piece of paper. Otherwise you have to leave your bag outside. You’re not allowed to eat inside the facilities (or smoke, duh) as it’s disrespectful. I would advise you to bring water and a hat, maybe an umbrella, when you go in the summer. It’s very hot.
