We visited this museum on a city break to Krakow. A little disappointing. Nothing was really explained clearly and it was difficult to read the descriptions of the displays as it was so dark.

When arriving at the main square and cloth hall you can access the museum via stairs or lift my advice would be pay extra for the headphones as this will add far more context to the experience but still interesting and worth a visit

Admission is free on Tuesdays and we were lucky enough to get tickets. These are timed admission which prevents overcrowding. It was well worth a visit and very interesting.

The museum is well organized with fascinating info and displays of ancient Krakow discovered underneath the current old main square. The only drawback was that I thought I had stepped in dog poop before entering the museum, but I did not: half the museum smelled...More

I wasn't sure what to expect here but the underground site has been carefully revealed and offers a fascinating insight into medieval life. There are a lot of interactive boards (available in several languages) and a lot of artefacts. Quite fascinating.
