This is very interesting and new museum that takes you on a journey through the history of Krakow but more on the archeological side. There are lots of things to see and many audio visual aids throughout that cover several languages. I think the location is important as its just below where the existing cloth hall stands today. One improvement... More

If you haven't yet been to Krakow, you might want to put it on your to-do list. Pick a hotel or hostel in or near the old town, because this is a safe and very interesting city where you can walk anywhere day or night. There is an amazing number of beautiful cathedral-like churches, and you are likely to find... More

I went when I arrived in Krakow, honestly after searching to find the entrance (not easy) I entered there and I was expecting much more considering that I was visiting other museums in Europe. A mix of modern and old part but in general the only nice thing, is that you walk under the main square. It is good to... More

A bit of a snore fest, if you are hot and have an hour to kill it is ok This would be prefect for a school outing or anyone interested in architecture or archeology. Basically they did a huge dig around the square, preserved it and turned it into a museum. I personally can only look at dirt for a... More

This museum has so much potential but is very badly organised and uninformative. The few information boards available had too small text to read and if was too dark to read them. The audio sets were unhelpful, unintuitive and the gps technology didn't work properly. In complete contrast to the cathedral audio sets which actually told you where to go... More

Very good museum under the cloth hall, many interesting exhibits and relics of old Krakow. Timed tickets are bought from the nearby tourist information office.

Really worth seeing if one has an interest in history or archaeology. It covers a very large area, so allow lots of time. Can get tickets in advance and on the day for later in same day. Allow at least two hours to see most of it.

We really enjoyed this museum, it was fascinating. It's about the history of Krakow, and goes up to the excavation a few years ago. We spent a couple of hours here. We really liked that they only allow a certain amount of of people in at time - so make sure you reserve tickets online before hand as they don't... More

Need to get timed tickets from tourist information the other side of Cloth Hall. You then go to entrance at allocated time. It's a very dark experience (light wise) so partially sighted may have problems reading signs. It's a great history of the market place digging through the strata and displaying a tableau of each period. Nice cafe at the... More
