Fascinating and well presented museum showing Krakow's past. Much more to see than you might expect, especially given the less than imposing entrance near one end of the Cloth Hall. It has been set up to appeal to children as well as adults. You can...More

The main square is about 2km from the station but flat and suitcase friendly. Walk through the mall and you're straight into the old town..pedestrian streets all the way. Through a small park and you have the cathedral towers in view. No need for a...More

We did 3 Walks with them, each about 2 1/2 hours. Most of the tours are for free, you decide the price yourself. Our guides were Damian in the old City tour, Jan on the jewish tour and Thomas in the Schindl er's factory. All...More

Also known as Rynek Underground museum, relatively new, opened ~2010. It's well constructed and maintained, but the layout can be confusing. There's a good deal of writing on the exhibits, but many of the ones in English are dimly lit, making it hard to read...More

Firstly I have to admit natural history museums are far more interesting for me so this was always likely to not grip my attention. Not a huge museum and at times a little confusing with its layout and which way to go. What was on...More

I didn't like the dark dungeon concept of the exhibition - it wasn't promoting understanding the rich history of the place, maybe more oriented to children using gimmicks. The pyramide hall was quite nice - small replica or hommage to the Louvre...

This museum can get very crowded so has a limited mount of people in at any time, so I would recommend going early. It is situated under the building in the middle of Marker Square and is a history of Krakow from the very start....More

The entrance is in cloth hall, but its quite hidden so you need to circle around to see it. Inside is nothing special, trust me. It's like they try to be traditional and modern at the same time, no really meaningful artefacts to be shown...More

We booked our tickets online from our accommodation for the next day. All we had to do was show the email confirmation at the ticket office. We chose a self guided tour, and followed the plan around the site, as we prefer to go at...More
