About
Two exhibitions in one location. The first is a journey in the dark in which because of the complete darkness you will feel like a blind person. This metamorphosis has several advantages – first of all you realize that in such a world a blind person feels like a fish in the water. And you? At the beginning you are afraid, then you tame, and finally you realize what power your other senses have. Then you realize that blind people are not disabled at all, it’s just naive to think that you who see are better. The second is a maze of colors, games of lights and fun. How to build a lake of sand or a mountain, or maybe create a tsunami? How to leave the shadow behind? As if with ordinary glasses it would seem to turn the world upside down, and maybe check what the shadow of the strange sculpture hides or turn the sound into shape and color. Both experiences include our fantastic guides, who bring science and emotion into your world in a joyful and colorful way.

A must see for anyone visiting Kraków!
Me and my partner decided to do both the light and dark exhibition for under £10 each - both of which were absolutely fascinating. The dark room offered a completely unique experience, testing the very senses you soon realise you take for granted every day. The light exhibition incorporated science, illusion and stunning visuals to create a wonderful interactive visit, appropriate for all ages, which not only continuously impresses you creating anticipation for what’s to come next, but also allows for great photo/video opportunities! To make it even better, the staff were truly interested in each exhibit as well as being super friendly and informative. We stayed for around 2 hours, but would have stayed for much longer if we didn’t have a plane to catch! :)
Dear Luce, Many thanks for you wonderful review. WOW, I will pass it to the team that will be incredibly happy to hear that you enjoyed visit to WOMAI so much. Indeed, the dark room is the journey into your inner part, and as stated rightly by you, we discover the senses and their usage we do not think about on the daily bases. We are very lucky to have team like Jakub and Damian and their passion for science, learning and development. If possible please share with us some photos/videos at our email address womai.cracow@gmail.com if you do not mind us to use them on our social media page. Wishing you fantastic 2020. WOMAI TEAM

Fantastic entertainment for adults and kids. What a positively twisted staff! Wow!
Today I have visited Womai with my wife and two kids and I must say that I had a lot of fun! On the dark side we have experienced a life of a blind person. Our guide Natalia is a violinist and a flutist and she let us into her world which is so different from our daily life. And on the bright side we learned so much about science, optics, color, music and we had lots of fun challenging our own perception and senses in a fantastic and friendy atmosphere. We will be back for more when they add new experiences. Good job :-)! I am seriously impressed !
Dear Pat, Many thanks for your wonderful review. We are so happy that your entire family enjoyed time in WOMAI. Indeed our guides in both exhibitions are incredibly skillful: acting, paying and enjoying the passion for people. They love to share their worlds both "Dark" and "Light" and it is meaningful for them if they manage to inspire people. We put all our hearts and souls into WOMAI and reading reviews like yours make us inspired and wanting to work more and harder. WOMAI TEAM :)

    What an experience!
I've been in WOMAI with my friends, we've seen both of their exhibitions. "Into the Darkness" is a great experience which change perspective on certain things. It's must-see among Krakow's attractions! Special thanks to Paweł, who was our guide in the world without sight. It was difficult but he took care of us :) My friends took a trip with guide Piotr, who was amazing too! I also recommend "Into the Light" exhibition, with our guide Nina we all had a really wonderful time while sight-seeing. Hope to visit this museum again!
Dear Alexander, thank you very much for sharing your positive opinion and mentioning our guides Paweł, Piotr and Nina. We will pass on words of appreciation to them and we hope to meet you again someday. Best regards Team WOMAI

    Unforgettable experience
I had another vision of the exhibition when I bought tickets, but this was an eye-opening experience for me, and “into the darkness” exceeded my expectations! I found out more about life of the blind person, and that had a great impact and changed my vision of the world, and made me more tolerant towards other people. I would definitely recommend visiting this place. Special thanks to our guide Kamil, he was so nice and explained everything during the exhibition, and also answered all of our questions
Dear Anna, Many thanks for your wonderful review and we are superb happy that the experience was beyond and above your expectation. The aim was our exhibition is to be educational thus it is great to read that we met the goal. Guide Kamil sends his regards and invites you to the exhibition: "Into the light" Best regards, WOMAI TEAM

    Highly recommended
We (three generations, grandma with 2 daughters and 9 year old grandchild) went to Womai yesterday (Sun, 5th Feb 2023) for "Into the darkness" exhibition. Shy of one hour in a complete darkness with our guide Pawel was an incredible experience and an eye opener of how to see the world in a completely new way. I think the experience not only give us a bit more knowledge of how world of a blind person looks like, but in a way teaches us how to "see" more by allowing / sharpening other senses like touch or hearing.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. Each of them is important to us and motivates us to work. Thank you for your kind words and beautiful recommendation. We are glad that the guide Paweł made this experience more complete for you. We hope to see you again sometime. Best Regards WOMAI Team

    Fun and interesting place
There are two parts to this experience. The first is entering the world of the blind. It is very interesting to explore in complete darkness. The second part is a study of light and sound. This has a number of interesting exhibits that are both entertaining and educational.
Dear Valued Guests, We are so happy that you and your son have decided to visit WOMAI's both exhibitions: "Into the dark" and "Into the light". We are even more happy that we satisfied your appetites for knowledge from the area of physics (light and sound) but also from the area of the world of people who were born into the darkness. We hope to see you again as being your guide on both ends was a pure pleasure. Kind regards, WOMAI TEAM

    Great experience
WOW….what a fantastic experience & I strongly recommend that you try this when in Krakow. I generally do not write a lot of reviews but I feel that I have to do it on this occasion. I was wary of what to expect when booking this experience as it’s not what we normally book but after being to Krakow on a few occasions & doing all the usual tours my wife & I decided on Into the Darkness & please excuse me as I cannot remember our lady tour guides name, but what an insight she gave us into the world of a blind person as she is blind also. I don’t want to spoil it for you but nothing can be taken into this tour which can show light I.e. phone, watch etc (lockers provided on site to store these) as you are in complete darkness & you navigate through different rooms, & stop to identify everyday sounds, objects, textures & interact with your guide & others within the small group (only 4 people in total on our tour). You may need guided at times but this was done in a safe environment from our guide (no fear of falling or bumping into sharp objects etc) & when near the end our guide (wish I could remember her name) gave us the chance when still in total darkness to sit & ask her any questions about being blind & afterwards when the tour was finished I asked my wife why she did not ask anything & she replied that she couldn’t as the tears were streaming down her face as she found it so emotional as my wife & myself were totally ignorant to how losing your eyesight enhances your other senses & how you still can manage everyday life scenarios. My wife & I both agreed that this is one of the best experiences that we have ever enjoyed on any holiday & so glad that we booked this. Thank you so much for such an excellent experience which has raised our awareness & gave us a better understanding which we will both remember for the rest of our life's.
Dear Guest, thank you so much for your description of the exhibition "into the dark" and such a comprehensive and heartfelt review. Your words grabbed us by the heart! We are extremely pleased that you visited our Center. The exhibition was created to teach and let you experience a different perspective, and stories like yours always motivate us to continue our work! We believe that your guide's name was Sylwia. We will share your words with her, as this is an opinion she especially needs to hear. We hope you will visit us again someday! Best Regards WOMAI Team

    Insightful and unforgettable
We went to “into the dark” and it was very insightful experience. An experience where you get to know what it’s like to be a blind person which is led by a blind person and they love their day to day life. Our experience was led by Paweł who really opened our eyes into the world of blindness and our senses when you can’t rely on your eyes. With even parts surrounding topics on how to better help people around who happen to be blind or visually impaired . I say Paweł was the highlight of the experience because of his passion surrounding these topics with intelligence and how compassionate he is to everyone around him and everyone in the experience. The experience is very one of a kind and it really sticks with you especially when you have a good guide. If you want to do something in Krakow we would definitely recommend Womai because it changes how you view the world around you.
Dear Monika, Many thanks for your wonderful words. We are super happy that the experience provided by Pawel was insightful and gave you a glimpse of the world of blind people. We are very proud of our guides and fully agree with you that they are the highlights of the experience. Thank you for recommending us to others - we hope your next visit is just around the corner. Into the dark
The English into the dark experience was amazing. Our guide was very polite and passionate about the world of blind people. He instantly invoked confidence and trust in the group (not only by the fact that he memorized all our names in 2 minutes). His English was really good, eventhough he lacked a bit of confidence in his own langauge abilities

    Into the Darkness
We visited Womai and booked the ‘Into the Darkness exhibition’. It was honestly one of the most thought provoking & insightful experiences that I have ever been on. The tour guide, Pawel was extremely knowledgeable & passionate about delivering the experience. He gave us a full understanding of the difficulties that a blind person may experience on a day to day basis. Pawel is multilingual and can offer tours in multiple languages, including English. I would throughly recommend visiting.
Dear Nathan, We are very pleased that you enjoyed our exhibition. We do our best to make sure that your experience at our Centre can be remembered by you for a long time. Paweł speaks many languages and he is more than happy to use them when meeting foreign visitors. We will pass on your kind words to him! We also invite you to our second exhibition "Into the Light". I went there with my friend, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we had in Krakow so far. It was a thought-provoking visit, and I would definitely recommend everyone go and see this exhibition. The guide, Pawel, was very nice, and the atmosphere was really friendly. It was hard at first for me to adjust to the darkness, but closing my eyes helped a lot. At the end of our visit, the receptionist, Julian, helped us find a way to the National Museum, gave us other recommendations for what to see in Krakow, and told us about the other exhibition, which we will definitely see next time around! 10/10

I went with my daughter to both unique WOMAI exhibits, which were amazing in different ways.

In “Into the Light,” Agata led us on a tour of illusions and magical creations - the exhibits were totally absorbing. Agata’s passion for the subjects of science, physics and magic was contagious, and all of us in our group were entranced! If you love embodied sensory experience, don't miss this!

In” Into the Dark,” Silvia, our blind guide, led us through various real-life scenarios and locations. This visceral, confronting and touching experience showed us an entirely new world and helped us appreciate aspects of life we may have taken for granted. This was a truly transformative experience. We are so grateful to WOMAI and Silvia, in particular, for sharing her life and experience with us and showing us around her world.

I cannot recommend this journey through both exhibits highly enough. Thank you WOMAI and especially Silvia and Agata 💗🙏🏻

Today we visited Womai museum “in the dark” part. It was real eye-opener and exhibition is very much interactive and interesting. Our guide Kamil was really great! He opened a door for us for the blind-people life. If you think how to spend 1 hour in Kraków city center it is really worth it. Thanks a lot!
