Highly recommend this company. Unbelievably good value for money for what you get. The tour is what it is and was obviously a very intense, dark experience. But Wladimir the guide was very passionate about continuing to share the stories of the camp to ensure...More

During the last century, being at the centre of tug-of-war between Nazism and Communism, Krakow had to suffer a lot. Possibly no country has endured as much as Poland. People know excesses of German occupation, but Soviet under Stalin and it's Red Army was worse,...More

The salt mine is fascinating and well worth a visit but I would not recommend using the bus tour groups. Make your own way there and book on to the first available English tour. It will cost you half the price of an advertised tour...More

Having lived in Poland for a few years, we hosted many family & friend visits and of course, Auschwitz was a sad but necessary site to see. It is so utterly unbelievable that we allowed this to happen.

We opted for this company, WowKrakow, part of the Jordan Group. Paid at the concierge's desk. We were promptly picked up and given the earplugs to use. I must say, I would have chosen the famous City Tours ( red bus found all over Europe)....More

Considering the amount of visitors the logostics worked quite well. There is not a lot of time for stopping and reflecting but there is a lot to get through. Must see to make sure this never happens again.

If you will be in Kraków book a tour that will take you by bus to Auschwitz and have a tour ready for you there. Try Cracow City tours, it is easy to book and they have many language options.

Cracow city tours (3 Replies)
I've had a quick search and can't find an answer to this. We've for a couple of tours booked with this company for the weekend and were a bit concerned there's a possibility of them being cancelled as we are the only people booked on the tour. When you book it you can see how many tickets are left and it's still only us that have booked. Has anyone got any experience of this?

Taxis at the airport. (1 Replies)
Please make sure you go to the taxi rank when you exit the airport. 4 of us have just returned from Krakow. When we arrived a man asked us if we wanted a taxi. We told him where we were staying - an apartment - and he asked us to follow him. I had to make a phone call to the agents to arrange to pick up a key so whilst I did that my husband went with him. After making the phone call, myself and friends went outside but could not see anyone. The car which was a small Peugeot was parked away...More

Help choose the hardest trip to do on own and tour company? (5 Replies)
Will be in Krakow for 5 days in late May. I would like to be as independent as possible in doing tours. However, i would like to take an organized tour for either Auschwitz- Birkenau Museum or Zakopane and the Tatra Mtns? Which would be the most difficult one so I can take a group tour. Also, which of the following tour company would be the best: 1. Cracow City Tours 2. SeeKrakow 3. Discover Cracow 4. Intercrac Limtied

Actually, neither of the 2 is difficult on your own. Quite the opposite, it's pretty straightforward. Both Zakopane and Oświęcim receive a large number of tourists, both domestic and international, and therefore there are many ways to get there by yourself, saving a lot of money on the tours.
