Lovely old buildings with lots of shops and cafes. Found everyone to be very helpful but frustrating to find that all signs were in Polish with no translations into other languages.

This is by far one of the best, if not the best in Europe. The vibe is great, the market was out and the items being sold of a great variety. The setting is awesome and people friendly.

The old town is do very pretty. Every hour the trumpeter plays from the tower of St Mary's Basilica. Such a beautiful area. There is some amazing food to be had from the market stalls. There are horse and cart rides and free walking tours along with free pub crawls. The restaurants are in abundance with some great food. Such... More

We went to Krakow mainly to visit Auschwitz and Schindlers factory but Krakow old town was a really lovely surprise. I wish we'd had longer to just enjoy it. The restaurants are lovely and the food and drink is very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it as a place to visit.

The best part of Krakow. Tram fares are cheap, very cheap....less than a Pound for a 40 minute ticket. Taxi's are also resonable, and considering every holiday you walk so far its good to know its not going to cost you a fortune. Carry small change always, you need for every loo in Poland, about £1.5 Zloty. The city is... More

We stayed a mere 5 minutes from the main square and went straight for a beer and lunch. just sat there marvelling at the vastness of the square and all the beautiful horse drawn carriages plus street entertainment. It isn't difficult to walk... More

We took a walking tour which was both comprehensive & interesting. We spent time on our own to enjoy a local market that was not as commercial as the old town. Lots of places to atop & take coffee or vodka !. We enjoyed the street food in this area & loved the work of the local artists , a... More

After travelling over three weeks throughout Europe and visiting many Old Town areas, Kraków has to be the nicest. It is very clean (except for the pigeons), very scenic, so much going on. Everyday there was live music. Horse drawn carriages all around. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Fun to wait for the bugler at the top of each hour.... More
