About
The idea of creating the company Kroke Jewish Tours was based on many factors. We have observed after so many years of guiding thousands tourists that there is a high interest in learning about Jewish Krakow - Jewish history, WWII, the Holocaust, Schindler’s List, Communism, and the Jewish revival in Poland. All of these interests can be seen in Krakow at museums, centres for cultures, institutions, events, restaurants, and concerts. As local Krakowians, we have witnessed many of these changes because we grew up here while our ancestors shared with us many stories of the past.

Agnieszka was simply fantastic. She hired a driver and created a tour of Jewish areas of Bedzin for us, a town an hour from Krakow where my wife's mother lived in the 1920s before coming to the US. She brought the history of the town to life for us, took us to the address where my wife's mother lived and showed us pictures of how it looked in the 20s. She took us to a basement room with frescoes that was used as a private family temple and was restored after WWII.

We went on a tour of the Jewish quarters , including the synagogues and the cemetery and also the ghetto. Our guide Eliza was very knowledgeable and gave a very fair assessment of the history of the Jews from the Middle Ages through the war and to present day. The tour was very enlightening and enjoyable and I would highly recommend it.

When we - two girlfriends from Vienna - finally managed to make our three times covid-postponed trip to Krakow happen, we decided to book a private tour guide to get the most out of our stay. Following the advice of a friend who had travelled to Krakow before we contacted Eliza. This proved to be the best decision we could have made, because Eliza showed us the city in the best manner imaginable, combining seemingly unlimited knowledge with warmth, charme and amusing anecdotes. Eliza was open to any question or discussion, no matter if it was the middle ages, the dark years of WWII or present politics.
We came to Krakow and met a perfect tour guide, when leaving back for home, we left behind a dear friend.

This was a very thorough, and fascinating tour. We were most impressed with Eliza's knowledge and interest in her subject. I encourage anyone with an interest in Jewish history to take this tour, but specifically ask for Eliza! In addition to learning so much about the Jewish heritage, we also learned a lot about Polish history. We left the tour viewing the Polish people as very resilient and inspiring. It is a pleasure to see people of a Eliza's generation taking such interest and ownership of the Jewish history of Poland. I cannot recommend this to her highly enough!

Eliza took us on a four-hours private Jewish Quarter/Schindler's lIst tour. She was born and raised in Krakow, so she is very knowledgeable of the history of the area. Without her guidance, we wouldn't had known the significant of some of the buildings or landmarks. Eliza was very helpful and flexible with arranging our trip, and she answered many of our questions. She even took us back to our hotel at the end of our tour. Krakow is a beautiful city and yet has such a sad history. It's definitely worth visiting.
On a different day, Ola took us on a three-hours private Old Town tour of Krakow. We visited the Main Square, Cloth Market, Wawel Hill, Wawel Castle, and many other landmarks. We had an enjoyable time listening to the history and admiring these magnificent medieval buildings.
Highly recommend you to connect with Eliza to arrange your Krakow tours.

If you're looking for a chance to explore Jewish Quarter in Krakow and to truly get a full scope of the Kazimierz district, look no further. Eliza is a pro, while at the same time she's very approachable and kind. Through her interesting stories, she transforms you to a different time in history, eventually neatly connecting past with present times in a very engaging way. Same goes for the Schindler's Factory Tour, also booking this activity with those guys is head and shoulders above just walking around on your own, without a proper context.

Don't hestitate to get in touch with "Kroke Jewish Tours"to set up some great tours while visiting the enchanting Krakow!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Kazimierz with Eliza. She is simply an amazing tour guide! We appreciated her overall knowledge of European history and Jewish history. She picked up what was most important to us and was able to emphasize those aspects. She is also a very warm person. Highly recommended!

We had a great 6-hour walking tour of Krakow with Eliza, combining the main tourist sights and may sights of Jewish interest. Eliza met us at our rented apartment and we near center city and walked us back there at the end. Eliza is extremely knowledgeable about local history and culture, both Polish and Jewish, and passionate about he beautiful city. She tailored the tour to our interests. It's so much nicer to have a private tour than be herded in a group tour.

I went on the shtetl tour with Eliza and it was an amazing experience. We visited three different towns that used to be shtetls, one in former "Russian-Poland", and two in former Glacia. Eliza was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and through in her descriptions and explanations of what life in the shtetls used to be like. The tour was well worth the time and money, and I walked away having a whole new understanding of my roots and the Jewish culture at large. I would highly recommend this tour outfit to anyone looking to learn about Jewish history and culture.

Eliza Mrozinska is not only a competent and highly knowledgeable, but also a very pleasant person to take a tour around Krakow. Ours led us to Nowa Huta, and I learned a ton about the history, everyday life and present of this "Socialist Model City" - far away from stereotypes and nostalgia.
She is also very flexible and willing to accommodate individual wishes, so don't be shy in articulating them!
