The Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Cross is located in the old town, but is behind Słowacki Theater. It looks older than it is- 14th century. The central pillar looks like a palm tree and Gothic ribs spreading across the vaults from the top....More

The church is tucked away in the corner of the old town. It is quite beautifully decorated inside with very traditional side seating and a very ornate altar. Interestingly, just adjacent to it is the presbytery which is 13th century and the oldest residential building...More

This old Gothic church dating back to 1200's has a beautiful vaulted ceiling with a large column in the middle of it that looks like a palm tree. Beautiful altar.

Only the porch of the church was open to visitors when we visited. It's a beautiful building and obviously quite old. What we saw we enjoyed and hope to see more next time.
