About
Kadzielnia is Kielce’s most famous old quarry. The area, as the Kadzielnia Park and Reserve, covers about 14 ha. The central part of Kadzielnia, the Skałka Geologów (Geologists’ Rock) is under legal protection as an inanimate nature reserve. The remaining part of the area is protected within the Kielce Protected Landscape Area. It is worth mentioning and emphasizing that in the vicinity of the reserve is located, among others, the famous amphitheater, where numerous entertainment events take place. A new and very interesting attraction in this area is the Underground Tourist Route. Kadzielnia is a place with an interesting history, rich resources of animated nature, but most of all, a place that you must visit when you are in Kielce. You can spend a nice time here, relaxing while walking among the rocks, where the history of the tropical sea from hundreds of millions of years ago has been recorded.

beautiful reserve almost in the center of the city. Great views breathtaking. Big applause for the creators - many benches and tables. On the spot tyrolka thanks to which you can admire the park from the sky. Very nice place with a magnificent amphitheater. Large parking, lots of space. Also toilets.

The aerial ropeslide is breathtaking! What is crucial it is 100% Safe - you are hooked in all the time till the very end! All ropeslides together are over 600 m long, with the longest track about 300 m long and about 20 m over ground! Nearby there is also a cave worth visiting - only with a guide - you have to book the tour.

This place has beautiful scenery, great shots for photos, too. There are rocks, a little lake, lot's of greenery. There is also an amfitheatre, where concerts are held from time to time. Definitely a perfect choice for a walk - be it with your partner, kids, family or friends. Lot's of benches to ponder on alone as well:) Small parking lot at the bottom. Highly recommended!

Kadzielnia is a small nature reserve in Kielce. As a former quarry, it's main attraction is the limestone landscape: a large basin with a steep limestone hill in the middle of it. There's also an amphitheatre at the side of the basin (cultural events are often held here). The place hasn't been "domesticated" more than necessary, so it's a great place to go for a picnic on a warm day. It's hard to believe this beautiful place is right in the middle of the city. It's easy to reach and free to see so I definitely recommend coming here if you're in Kielce.

When staying in Kielce, I made a round walk in the Kadzielnia Park one morning.
Is was very peaceful and quiet and I enjoyed it a lot.
When doing the round walk, which is not even that long walk however some steps need to be taken so a minimal fitness level is required, you see the quarry, the caves and the water from all different angles.
I personally dont think the amfitheater fits in here, I would have prefered to have an "all natural" reserve, however this is my own honest opinion.

The review below which states that this attraction is only open from April to September is incorrect. I'm glad we checked with Tourist Information who confirmed that you can visit any time of the year and this makes sense as it is literally a park in the city - there are no gates, no entrance fee etc, you just walk in!

Great to climb up and get a peaceful vista of the city. Fantastic photo opportunities if you're lucky enough to visit on a day when the sky is a gorgeous azure blue like it was for us (early April!!!).

I look forward to visiting again and maybe catching a concert at the ampitheatre which is in the grounds or perhaps seeing what it's like in the evening for a different perspective.
