Memorial Sarcophagus of French Soldiers in the Starokozielski Park.
The park is a remnant of the old cemetery. Statue-sarcophagus is dedicated to the 71 French soldiers and officers who died while serving in the period 1920-1922 on the disputed territory of Upper Silesia. French troops remained in the area of Upper Silesia in the years 1920-1922 for the maintenance of peace and prevention in relation to the German militias (such today KFOR troops). The soldiers buried in the park died in different circumstances. During World War II, the Nazis destroyed the monument, but in the 60s of the twentieth century it has been restored and is still surrounded by the care of the city authorities.
