Pilgrimages to this sanctuary are Polish tradition dating back centuries. You will appreciate beauty and importance of it more if you are catholic and of Polish ancestry, but any visitor will be affected by its holy aura. Make sure you come when the holy madonna painting is uncovered. You can find information on their website.

Lovely atmosphere here, in a beautiful setting. Outside, there are posters of Pope John Paul II, with his interesting history.

This is why tourists and pilgrims frequently visit czestochowa,to take in the architect of Jasna Gora and pray at its many shrines, hence why it's included on UNESCO'S world heritage list.
It's like all parts of Jasna, very busy with crowds of pilgrims and tourists milling about so best to visit first thing in the morning or late afternoon.

My wife, two children and I visited Jasna Gora, Our Lady of Czestochowa (The Black Madonna) and Sanktuarium Matki Bozej Jasnogorskiej in December 2017. After passing through the entrance, you enter into the Sanktuarium Matki Bozej Jasnogorskiej. It is really a beautiful place. Right next to it to the right is the shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The whole Jasna Gora complex is a must see in Poland.

Visited on Thursday 5th October. Extremely beautiful, elaborate, splendid, spectacular, impressive, and breathtaking are just some of the words you could use to describe this magnificent cathedral.

A must-see church near the Black Madonna offers a quiter and much ornate, beautiful view. It offers a wonderful gothic style architecture.
You will also see the picture of St.Paul the hermit and St.Jerome and many other saints.

Ornate and intricate frescoes.. firstly stand and slowly do your own 360 pano without the iPhone, take in the lavish details of this UNSECO heritage listed church ...the Black Madona for me was unique to see, the pipe organ spread from east to west.. a church very special for the Polish people and WOW how fortunate to participate and have mass in the Sanktuarium Matki😊 feeling very fortunate to have seen it.

our group had the chance to celebrate english mass here. This beautiful church is right beside the Black Madonna. If you look into the altar your eyes will be mesmerize with those architecture, frescoes and ornate decorations of this sanctuary and is just breath taking! Remarkable place as a whole!

Having visited many churches in my European travels, I would have to say that this one is in my top 10 for most beautiful. The detail work EVERYWHERE is amazing, but most importantly, if you can manage to break you gaze from the stunning altar, turn around. Behind you, you will see one of the most beautiful organs I have ever had the pleasure to lay eyes on in a church.

Hi Pokwan,
Jasna gora has their own website where you can check the information regarding opening / closing time. You can also find a map of the monastery.
I am not sure regarding the location of the chapel you mentioned.
There are some museums and other churches around which you can visit.
