Overall this was a good place to learn about historical facts. The guided tour was good. The explanation was clear and the exhibits were appalling. We came in Dec 2018. The weather was cold. I could imagine the past prisoners shivering in the cold weather...More

The solemnity and the dignity with which this place has been maintained must be appreciated. I hope this place remains for thousands of years!

One of the strangests place that i visited. The antmosfere of the place is just one of the kind. It is silent and depressing. The museum is well organised and it hits you hard with the exhibits.

I've learnt very valuable facts / insights from the tour guide. Each block/corner has many terrifying stories to tell - of prisoners' ordeal, dehumanizing terms of unscallable cruelty, bloody torture and human experiments. This site is a testament to the harsh truth of cruelty in...More

You have to visit Auschwitz, the guides will tell you more about the history and they'll share the stories of victims. Take time for a visit since there is a lot of information available. Since it is impressive and since more than a million people...More

A very sobering experience and hard to believe that people could be treated this way. A lot to take in, unfortunately due to the shear amount of people visiting you get very little to view and read and try to understand up front this grim...More

Never may be forgotten, the horror of what happend in this place. Everyone have to see this and listen to the stories. Our guide her grandfather was in this horrable place, so we had a real, real emotional tour from a few hours.

Then go there. It's amazing how a man can become a beast. The cruelty is a bit terrifying but since it happened you have to see for yourself.

Tour of Jewish Museum and Synagogue (2 Replies)
My husband and I will be in Rome in mid-October and are interested in taking a tour of the Jewish Ghetto, Jewish Museum and Synagogue. I have been looking at various tours and many are priced beyond our budget. I would appreciate recommendations from people who have been on group tours of this area, ones that they really enjoyed that cost up to 30 euros per person...
