Highest mountains in Poland (and Slovakia). Great landscapes and trails (almost) for everyone. Best in semptember!

Instead of taking the wagon, we chose to walk all the way up and all the way down. I regret nothing, even though my muscles were sour for the next 4 days. Weather was fantastic for such climb, but it would have been tricky with...More

It's better to avoid most popular and crowded paths especially that rarely visited paths and places are as much beautiful and dont be one of unprepared fools without proper shoes and equipment. If you will meet those conditions you can experiance true spirit of Tatras...More

Only getting round to sharing my experiences as I visited in Nov. 2015 as part of an international field trip with my university. Our small group of 15 students resided in the village of płone on the Slovakian border, a region well know for the...More

Tatra Mountains are beautiful and have a few demanding trails which I like, but big disadvantage is that there's too much people. Mainly in summer weekends. Recently I was in Tatras in december and even then on weekend there were pretty many tourists.

We were lucky to have a good wheather. Compare to Alps, High TaTras are less comfortable. They are improving, but still have to do a lot. I hope in 5-10years the service will be austrian level

Tatras mountains amazing destination for trekkers. I was in Poland side. Wonderful views, amazing experience. But avoid the period from August 15- this is a national festival for Polish and Lithuanians so too crowded at this period. If you do not want to stay in...More

We enjoyed some nice walking in the National park - admission 5zt per person per day. You need good weather to fully appreciate the views, but if the sun shines the Tatras will wow you with their natural grandeur.

We went to the Chocholowska Valley region of the Tatras Mountains during a visit to Zakopane. In comparison to the more refined skier-heavy Zakopane, a hike/carriage ride through the Chocholowska Valley is more catered to the nature lovers. We booked a very nice carriage ride...More
