The old town itself is not as nice as in some other Polish towns probably because all the EU money was spent in the adjacent parks. The building of the hostel next to the stara brama deserves to be torn down.

My wife is from Olsztyn and it is like a second home to me. The old town is very beautiful, clean and has loads of good bars and restaurants. If you wander the backstreets you will find some real gems too. The best time to visit is in the spring or summer, when there are an abundance of places to... More

I had a lovely day in Olsztyn. The old city is compact and really interesting mix of architecture from different times. Friendly atmosphere, people, great food - I can recomend "cudne manowce" and ice cream from burek are wort making a visit.

I believe the Old Town is the most beautiful part of Olsztyn. It is not that big. I would recommend to visit the sold Town for a lunch.

If you visit Olsztyn, or happends to be in the vicinity, don't miss the opportunity to pay tribute to one of the greatest heroes in our science history. Even if Copernicus name is more closely associated with other cities, the palace in this town, was his workplace for a few years. It's a concentrated area, easy to grasp and worth... More

This is a nice and well organised town with a beautiful old city center. It is in the very center of the lake district, not too far from Warsaw.
