The main gate in Elbląg was erected in 1319. It is one of the most famous buildings and is known as Brama Targowa. It has been rebuilt in recent years after being destroyed a few times in its history, including during World War II. It is the only preserved part of the complex of Medieval fortifications around the city, an excellent example of defensive architecture and one of the tallest structures of this type in the country. I have compared the old photos of this gate and unfortunately it doesn't look exactly the same. In the previous one there was some observation deck.

Gorgeous view of the Old Town

There's a little bit of history there. It only takes a few minutes to get to the top and when you get there, you can enjoy the view )

Very friendly young man at the information desk

Very friendly young man at the information desk. The building was very interesting and you get a very good view from the top of the building. Worth visiting as lots of work gone on in that area of the city

Part of the old town

There is not much to see, but it is still nice to have a look at this tower. If it is open, you can climb upstairsand enjoy the view over the old town.

Not much to explore but it's a nice monument to have a look at, renovated and beautiful. You can't miss it while visiting the old town.You can even climb upstairs to see the beautiful view.
