Mała: I like small cinemas with less popular movies. This one is very atmospheric.
Duży: Apart from the fact that this cinema is one of the oldest, it’s comfortable and affordable. I’d rather go there than any of the huge franchise cinemas.

I've been to Pionier Cinema on numerous occasions and it's a tiny but lovely and very unique movie theater. The oldest still operating cinema in Europe, opened in 1909, was completely re-furbished and modernized in 2002 and yet it managed not to lose its charm. You can either watch your movie in a small but comfortable big-screen room or in a very unusual 'cine-cafe' room while sitting at a cafe table, with the projector just on top of the bar. Pionier usually offers all sorts of movies, however specializes in european and more ambitious films you probably wouldn't be able to watch anywhere else in Szczecin. It might not seem like a major attraction but definitely worth a look and a must-do for all film-lovers out there.

Visited the cinema with my girlfriend on a family visit to szczecin we both love to watch films in english and subtitles so the pionier is the perfect place to go . Great atmosphere and quaint rooms even though been modernised still it feels like going back in time the only thing missing was cigarette smoke in the projector light and black and white film. Would definitely recommend a visit if visiting szczecin

It's my favourite cinema, has a special atmosphere. You can watch less-commercial movies (some of them are hard to find in other cinemas) sitting at a table, drinking tea/wine or you can choose standard room, small and cozy. Perfert! :D

Great classic old style cinema. The only place like this in the city which will stay for a long time in my memory.

In our globalised world it is an unforgettable experience to watch a movie sitting in a small room, with a few tables ( and chairs around) and a bar, where you can get a drink (though, I have to say, with not an impressive choice :-(. For a unique experience, you have to get a ticket to a show downstairs, though, called KINIARNIA. Upstairs (ground floor) there is a small cinema hall, cosy but nothing very exciting.

I visited this cinema with my wife and our kid.
You feel like in the very beginning from the cinema history.
Unluckily there was a work on the facade, but the interior was intact.
Around there are many other attractions of Szczecin.

I was so excited to find out that the world's oldest cinema was in my family's home city and have been there twice now!
I was charmed by the small theatre and the little table and chairs you sit at. The room is so cosy and old fashioned themed, you really feel like you've stepped back in time. You can also order yourself a drink at the cute little bar inside!
There is also another more typical styled theatre if you prefer that as it may be more comfortable - but it's obviously modern so there is none of the charm in this theatre.
For people who don't understand polish - they don't dub over all the movies in this cinema - so you should be able to find most movies play in english with polish sub titles.
I highly recommend you go!

It is a small movie theatre, which is the oldest in the world. It is small, has an operating snack bar, and interesting movie choice. It has been recently renovated and if one likes small spaces and a little history it is a place to go. Next to it there are a couple of coffee shops.
