I just had the opportunity to visit the area around Miedzyzdroje: the dunes by the beach are very beautiful, and the park was great. However, there are no proper signals in any foreign language, and no facilities for tourists (transport inside the park, for instance): it is a real pity, because in other country this would be an important source of income for the region.

Walking, cycling, running in the magical park you can enjoy the sea, trees , flowers and animals...white eagles and not only...each day there is very special you can dream with open eyes, you are in heaven on Earth ....

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Misdroy in mid September 2012. To find out about the beauty and the scenery of this part of the Baltic coastline we highly recommend a visit of the Polish island of Wolin. Misdroy is a famous sea resort with beautiful beaches and hotels at reasonable prices. In addition it is where the Wolin national park starts. The park itself offers endless forests, lakes, the famous cliffs and plenty of wildlife. Within a short thirty minute walk from Misdroy into the forest you will even see dear, wild boars and buffalo which are raised in a separate park area. In a nutshell: nature at its best!

This review will be somewhat different since I did not have the opportunity to visit enough places of the giant Wolin Park - but I'll begin with the good part.
Miedzyzdroje
There are many entries into Wolin Park and one of them are in Miedzyzdroje.
The exact address is:
Leśna 17 (follow this road until it ends)
72-500 Międzyzdroje, Polen
This part of the park is not very big, but it's perfect for walking, cykling and running.
In the center of the park is a small yard where you can watch animals like bison oxes, red deers, wild bores etc. The entrance fee is only 1 euro or 5zl so it's definitely worth it.
So far so good - this part is worth a trip.
The Negative
I mentioned earlier there are several entries to Wolin Park.
The problem is that they are impossible to find since there are not marked anywhere on a map.
Their home page is also 100% in polish (only the main page is in english and german) so it's really hard for non-polish speaking tourist to read about the park. The fact that the different entries is not stated anywhere on their page makes it even harder.
It's really astonishing that a land mark like this is promoted so badly that you can even find it.
I've contacted the director for the wolin park and hopefully they will get back to me ;)
If I do get all the coordinates / addresses for the different entries I'll make sure to visit them and update this review accordingly.

Don’t bring your dog. Park rangers throw you out. Apparently is bad for the existing fauna. Stick to the trails and don’t pick mushrooms.

A visit at Zagroda Pokazowa Zubrow at Wolinski Park Narodowy allows you to see zubr (Polish Bison), Red Deer, Roe Deer, Wild boars and White-tailed Sea Eagle. Those animals were found and rehabilitated by a man so they cannot return to nature. There is 1200 m walk from the entry to the Park at Miedzyzdroje to the gate of Exhibition Farm and if you have diiffculty in walking you can apply for a permit to drive there at the Wolinski Park Narodowy Management at Miedzyzdroje. If you don't meet crowds of visitors you can enjoy a peaceful walk through an old big forest.

You will not need a lot of time to visit, and there are a few places you can access the park. If you are driving through Miedzyzdroje I suggest you stop and have a visit. You will need to park outside the park and walk on the forest road to the park. It is not a big park but you might not get another chance to see the wild boars, eagles, deer and the bison. This is the second time we have been and the kids loved it.

we were staying in Heringsdorf but we decided to go by ferry and visit Poland a little. While visiting Wolin National Park make sure you have a map or folder from tourism information center othervise you'll miss half of the attractions.

You can walk 2 hours without seeing anybody, at the beach or also in the forrests. Very nice and clean.

Zagroda z żubrami jest zamknięta. Dojechać można, ale tylko pod płot, dalej nie ma wstępu i niestety żubrów nie można zobaczyć. Taka sytuacja była w maju, nie wiem, jak jest obecnie.
