One of the first sites we visited in Kołobrzeg was the Co-Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a church built in the 14th century in the Gothic style. From the 17th century to the 20th century, the church suffered destruction due to wars; it has undergone considerable restoration. It has an impressive interior. If you have the time, take the elevator up to the bell tower.

It's nice if you would like to go and pray but if you would like to see it as a tourist visit it is nothing great what would you remember for long time. It's big but you can see that it was remade in more modern style

Ok cathedral - worth 20 minutes of anyone's time in a boring town. Usual cathedral stuff, windows, doors etc - nothing that stands out as exceptional but worth a quick look if in the area

An interesting church with some historical relics. The one catching ones eye is the 4 m high cast iron 7 branched candelabra from 1317.
If you want a grand view of the city you can climb the 100 or so steps or take the lift for a minor fee.

While this cathedral is not ornate like many others in Europe, it has some very nice stained glass windows and very early chandeliers, as well as columns that are set at an angle rather than vertical.

There was a wedding going on, so we were only allowed to see a little bit of the old paintings and statues near the door of this church. We'll have to go back next time we're in town.
