About
Pier in Gdynia Orłowie is about 180 m long and now is a pier promenade. The first pier was established here in 1924 and was 115 m Five years later it was rebuilt and extended to 430 m so that it could also serve as a haven for coastal shipping vessels. The construction materials used in the exploded at that time a wooden pier in Gdynia. After World War II the pier was destroyed in a storm, and reduced it to its present length, ie 180 meters from the pier on the right we see the most advanced part of Holmes

I walked through Rwdlowo woods and along the beach to reach Orlowo pier. Although the paths through the woods require watching and the signage is minimal, the walk along the beach was very relaxing but slow going. Both the woods and the beach were among the highlights of my stay in Gdansk.
Three odd feature of that walk were: firstly, seeing evidence of fires lit using forest wood on the beach and people scrambling through the fragile root systems of the cliff side trees; secondly, the woods are full of birds (woodpeckers... etc) and animals (I even saw a boar and her piglets feasting of windfall apples near where I was staying); thirdly, innumerable couples hold photo sessions after their wedding near the pier... which is either endearing or annoying depending on your point of view!

We stayed at an apartment near here and would walk this pier morning, noon and night.
A great place for families and couples, you can get coffee from a coffee truck, or amazing ice cream before heading out on the pier.
There was quite a few people fishing, May is the time for "balone" (garpike).

The Orlowo pier does not differ in charm from that of Sopot. This pier reached deep into the sea for a distance of up to 420 meters and was 6 meters wide. Unfortunately, in the winter of 1949, a storm severely damaged the pier, leaving only half of its construction. After a few years, the pier was rebuilt but its length is only 180 meters. The pier is lit by stylish lanterns, has benches, and most importantly, admission to the pier is free. From the pier we can admire the coastal landscape with the beautiful Orlowo Cliff . All of Orłowo is an extremely charming place, the pier , the nearby cliff, beach and architecture make this place unique. A place besieged by everyone from residents, tourists, photographers . The pier is ideal for walking and resting, just a cozy quiet place with great possibilities. I definitely recommend it.

A nice place, not very crowded, within a walking distance from Sopot, just by the beach. And in contrast to the pier in Sopot - entry is free of charge (though this one is shorter). Nice also in the evening, well lit.

Nice pier in a less touristy location, especially when compared to Sopot pier. It is quite small, but the view of the tree-covered cliff is truly breathtaking and picturesque. I arrived around 11 a.m. and there were only a couple of people with dogs and babies, so I could relax. Then I walked for about an hour along the beach to Sopot. However, the train station is about a 15-minute walk away.

Nothing distinctive in any way, a pier like any other pier. Nice environment and quiet area. No wow factor but if you have the way past or want something to pass the time with, it is a good option.

We were here before this latest lockdown began. We did not like this place. Below average. People here looked at us with suspicion.

I've always liked this pier a lot - it's not as crowded as the one in Sopot, it's located in the pretty area, there is always some coffee stand nearby and you can start many interesting walks from there - or just sit down and enjoy the view!
