This Aquarium is quite small. Those who have visited, for example, the aquarium in Toronto, will probably be disappointed here. In several smaller aquariums you can see fish and flora from the Baltic region, there is also an Amazonia section and aquariums depicting coral reefs. There are moray eels, a small crocodile and also two large snakes to be seen.
At the time I was there (at noon) there was no queue for tickets but there were a lot of people inside. I think it is certainly not a highlight attraction in Gdynia, but if you like this type of attraction, the Aquarium is definitely worth a visit. Ticket costs 35 zł.

Very good Aquarium, a lot of different fish. What pulls down is the chaos of hanging off clothes and picking up clothes , this being right inside the ticket slot , and there 's just a huge chaos with people in all directions , not all the fish had maps , where in the world they exist . Many aquariums in around the world, have a large mega aquarium where one can sit see, large and small fish as the conclusion. They didn't have it here.

It's definitely worth a visit when you're already in Gdynia. The exhibitions are nice and interesting. I really enjoyed being there.
But if I would have my psychic glasses on this day I would think twice to specially drive there. First of all there's no special parking area for the aquarium. It's paid street parking. And the aquarium is located in the end of a busy beach boulevard. So had to drive around 30 minutes to get a place. The ticket queue was kinda same long and annoying.
The aquarium itself was very crowded, but tolerable. Most of the information on the walls is in Polish. So good place to blow off the dust from your Polish skills and get into it.
So in general nice, but too many #¤% side effects.

We didn't see the horrible petting zoo type tank where children were allowed to touch the fish I saw when I visited as a kid but they boast about it in their Google "about" section.
There was a lot of big reptilian animals. A small crocodile (don't remember the breed) was a in a tank WAY too small for it. There were two anacondas in a tank, too small for one, together! They showed signs of mental anguish and one had an awful injury - the tip of its tail missing. I wonder if it happened while they fought, as that is likely to happen when kept together in such conditions. There was a huge turtle, again in a tiny, unstimulating, boring tank. Small sharks in a different tank were so bored one kept swimming in circles and another just lay on the ground, looking miserable. Seeing all these creatures in such tiny, boring, unsuitable conditions broke my heart.
I approached a young, female security guard at the end, asking if I could speak to someone to complain. She literally LAUGHED at me and lied, telling me to email an email that doesn't exist. We didn't spot any staff throughout the whole aquarium apart from the few security guards at the beginning and end. No one to stop kids banging on glass, nothing. I was so upset by the end, it ruined my day.
As a Polish citizen, I am ashamed such a place is allowed to exist in my home country, my home area.

I went there with my daughter and nice, We were totally disappointed, For this price I expected much more. Gdansk Zoo is more or less the same price, but you can spend there all day. Here is maximum 1 hour. Few nice fish and that's all. I was in Kiev and Lisbon aquarium and it was much better.

Of course this cannot be comapred to Monaco or other such aquariums. But it will get you 30-60 minutes of entertainment and kids loved it. Also, the price is a fraction of what other such places cost. The low price attracts some trashy guests so atmosphere is not great.

This place could be really interesting, but it was not prepared for the tourists (maybe post-covid). Some exhibits were broken, the interactive model of Baltic sea was not working properly. Since the season is just starting, it will probably get even worse in the summer.

Small, dark, crowded, loud. If you need to burn some time, you can spend 30 minutes. The only thing that saved from a one-bedroom Rating was downstairs. A little bigger aquarium so you did not feel as sorry for the animals but still very mediocre.

Nice place to visit with children. Even 2 years old child was happy to see such exposition.
Unfortunately it is not such big and rich as in f.a. Barcelona, but quite nice and cheap.

There are so many Kids visiting this Aquarium, shouting and running everywhere, it seems to be at a kindergarden. There are Just few english translations about fishes wich it makes harder the appreciation of the place. I raccomend this place to familys in holiday.

How much time should i leave for a visit to this aquarium?
Written July 24, 2017
2-3 hours depending on how thoroughly you want to see expositions. The main part with fish tanks is 1-1,5 hour, the rest is stuffed animals, models and various diagrams.
