It was closed when I visited in October. It is a little out of the way and can be difficult to find however it is very beautiful and atmospheric. A true landmark with a lot of history. The history of the lighthouse is printed on a board outside so it is still worth a little detour when closed.

Truly underestimated historical spot - really worth visiting!
A place where the 1st shot of WWII occurred.. Also it contains some other interesting historical things indoors - and you can climb it ;)
The lighthouse is located in fully industrial part, out of any fancy "ancient" spots of the city - right in front of Westerplatte.
Make sure to bring some cash with you for tickets.
Leaving an address for reference here:

Have fun!

Me and a friend got lost whilst looking for the lighthouse and would recommend getting public transport or renting a car as we came across some scary neighbourhoods. The lighthouse was very pretty and a nice touch to the town. However, do not go out your way to see this. You are not missing out on anything major-would much prefer to walk around old town!

Trams run from the centre to the Lanterna stop, about 300m from the lighthouse.

Great views of shipping and the Westerplatte memorial across the river.

Half way up is a plaque marking the window from which Wehrmacht snipers fired the first shots of WW2.

We have taken bike tour from Sopot towards Gdansk Brzeźno and Nowy Port. At the end in Nowy Port is nice lighthouse. 10 pln entrance normal and 6 for kids. What is interesting here in direction to Westerplatte from lighthouse's window were fired first shots of World War II 1.09.1939 at 4:45 in the morning.

I could not figure out how to get there but luckily I managed to arrange a hike from Brezno along the beach. The hike is nice if the weather is OK and there are good views over the new harbour.

An old light house also kept for navigation time keeping. The ball on the top of the light house goes is raised to the top exactly at 12, 2, 4 & 6 hours. Some 100 steps to the top and gives quite good views of the Gdansk bay.

We took the tram to brezno and then walked along the beach and around to the lighthouse and then opposite the old fort, about 5 miles in all. Nice walk around a real part of Gdańsk
