The architecture in Gdansk is varied and interesting. The old town section offers an opportunity to take a walk through history and see how the past has combined with the present. There are many street musicians playing a variety of music, ice cream shops, vendors, and people from all over the world enjoying the atmosphere. You can browse in shops,... More

Its a nice main street in Gdansk. Feels like there is mostly turists there so if you wanna eat you should try to get to a street behind the main one.

Very good ambience! Stroll along and choice a café or restaurant with traditional food whilst absorbing the historic view and museums.

Travelled with my family to Sopot and of course we went to Gdansk for tour. Never pitied this decision - great place, very beautiful buildings, local merchants around with what seemed to be no china made :) souvenirs, nice cafes and a really enjoyable views. Be carful with parking though - local police hungry for money - won't forgive you... More

Old Town in Gdansk is a stunning area with colorful buildings and a great atmosphere. I have attended in both summer and winter. In summer the are is more lively with more people walking around the lake and frequenting the restaurants along the lake. In winter the town has a more haunting atmosphere which also has its charm. Must see... More

I was not sure about visiting Gdank. But would have been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Forget Venice or even Amsterdam or Paris, this is the place where you find everything on one spot. Going back there is only a metter of time and good weather. Got the chance to visit it on a sunny September day... More

Old town Gdansk was such a surprise. We only stayed for one night but definitely want to go back. So many restaurants and beautiful buildings - just a short wander was enough to fall in love. The neighbourhoods outside the old town were a little grim but we could spend a whole weekend in that few blocks.

We arrived to Gdansk at evening, I was so tired after driving long way I wasn't even in mood to go for a walk in the city that day. I'm glad I went because I totally fell in love with this city. It has awesome atmosphere, beautiful old buildings (I know, many of them are only reconstructed ones after World... More
