With only a few mere days given to explore the Polish city, we were extremely glad to have picked the Old Town of Gdansk as our major visit. With beautiful Medieval-esque architecture and stunning colourful building facades reminiscent of Amsterdam and Copenhagen, Gdansk is the perfect place to visit whilst in Poland, rich in local culture and touristic hotspots, the... The best part of gdansk to see and have a wander around! It doesn't take too long to get your bearings and see everything though.

The beautiful little Old Town is a great place to visit. The food at the bars and restaurants is amazing with friendly people and a chilled environment. A lot of history behind the town and we saw everything within the 36 hours there. Having a hire car we ventured to the seaside town of Sopot which again was very nice.

The Old Town of Gdansk is a beautiful well restored part of the city. There are many pictures of the destruction of this city during WW2 and the restoration of the city is a testament to a proud nation of very genuine people.

We had a port visit to Gdansk on our Baltic cruise (we actually docked in Gdynia & shared a taxi to Gdansk). We enjoyed strolling the narrow cobblestoned streets of the old town and visiting the markets and cafes. Gdańsk was a Teutonic Knights stronghold and later, during the Middle Ages, an influential city within the Hanseatic League. Lots of... More
