Lukasz (I am typing on an American keyboard, so I know that is not the correct spelling of his name but it's close) was the perfect host/guide. His knowledge of Polish food and food in general is without peer. We had such a great time conversing with him and talking food. the restaurant choices were great, and the food was fantastic. Tons of food. Come hungry and you will leave stuffed. Lukasz also provided us recommendations in Gdansk and other cities in Poland. GREAT TOUR.

Virtual ‘tour’ to learn about making from scratch authentic Polish Pierogi.. 2 hour Zoom class with an 8 hour time difference was excellent ( although would have rather been in person😩). We had taken the food tour back in 2014 and highly recommended then - when the email came regarding a virtual class why not? Affordable, informative and the end result was delicious. Will plan to do more when offered.

Lukasz was a great tour guide and friend by the end of the night! My husband and I got to enjoy a variety of different types of vodkas in various forms throughout the tour. We received some fascinating conversation about history and vodka traditions. After the tour, we received a nice email summary of everything we got to try on the tour and a blended vodka recipe. Great bonus!

We did both tours; the vodka tour in Gdansk and the food tour in Gdynia.
First off, Daniel is a great guy, knowledgeable, likable and passionate about his country, food, drinks and traditions. Couldn't have asked for a better guide.
Vodka tour in Gdansk:
We learn so much about vodka, traditions, life under communism, food that goes with etc. We visited 4 very different places and tried various kinds of vodka with food pairings. WARNING: to those of you who expect to get drunk this is not that kind of a tour. This is a cultured interesting tour which will open your eyes to what vodka is and how it should be drunk. Best tour in town :)
Food tour in Gdynia:
Might have toppled the vodka tour :) This was such a nice tour. We visited a food markt, small shops, a high class restaurant, a boat, a hipster joint, a cafe not changes since the 70'. And the food was EXCELLENT. So much variety, from smoked meat and fish to fresh fish, soup, pork, dessert - you name it. Trust me you need to come starving on this tour. But it is so worth it. We also learn a lot about polish traditional and modern cuisine and about Gdynia as a city. Highly recommend to take this tour when in the area.
Thank you for the great time!

Great tour with Łukasz! Lots of tasty Polish food, both traditional and modern and also a very thorough explanation about Polish food culture. This was my 2nd tour with Eat Polska and I was satisfied again.

We returned to Gdańsk for a second visit and decided to try the Food Tour (we did the Vodka tour last year). We were happy to see our guide again - Alex Kulik - and he hosted an excellent afternoon in the beautiful city of Gdańsk. We were joined by two couples from the USA and set off on our culinary tour of the city. Four stops over four hours, it was a perfect pace with plenty of time at each stop and an interesting walk across the city with Alex giving us lots of insight into the history, culture and food and drink. Pierogi at Swojski Smak, Baltic salmon soup and sour-rye soup at Gdanski Bowke, two main course dishes at Fino and a dessert patisserie at Umam Manna. All absolutely delicious with a friendly welcome at each stop. Couldn’t recommend this more - it’s a fantastic way of getting to know a city, it’s people, culture, history, food and drink.

We booked onto the vodka tour as the food tour was cancelled. Good range of vodkas and food to try at three great locations. Unfortunately our guide Ivo, talked at us rather than to us and didn’t know when to leave. We have used this company in Krakow and did a great food tour with them.

My cousin recommended this tour to me and I am so glad she did! The guide, Iwo, was really nice and clearly knows a lot about vodka in its huge variety of forms. He was a great talker and managed to weave together the history of vodka with the history of Poland, Russia and Gdansk.
I had never realised the range of vodkas available and really enjoyed the tastings. Having done quite a few wine tastings in the past, I am really pleased to learn that vodka has just as many different flavours and varieties.
I had been slightly concerned that I wouldn't enjoy drinking straight vodka shots and I will be honest and say I didn't drink everything (I gave some of the shots away after 1-2 sips). Still, as they explain on the overview, I was slightly tipsy by the end of the tour, but certainly not drunk. The food we ate during the tour was all excellent too and ensured you didn't get drunk.
Overall, I would highly rate this tour. It is definitely worth it!

My husband and I just enjoyed a fabulous and educational few hours with our guide Piotr. He took us to 4 bar/cafe/restaurants where we drank many different vodkas but also had loads of food to soak it up. Totally recommend, Piotr is lovely and so interesting. Also got to chuck vodka around in the last place (was instructed to do so) which has created many happy and crazy memories!!

We recently went on both the Gdansk Vodka Tour and the Gdynia Food Tour, both hosted by Piotr. My partner is of Polish heritage and has been to Poland many times spanning back to the 1970s and this was my third time to the country, so we thought we knew quite a bit about Poland, the food and, of course, the vodka. However we finished both tours much wiser and knowledgeable about the history, manufacture and range of different vodkas, and totally impressed with the local cuisine and strides made in fine-dining as well as the good old traditional fare. The tours were made all the more enjoyable by our guide, Piotr, whose infectious enthusiasm and knowledge of his subject, supported by a laptop presentation was delivered in impeccable English. There is a fair bit of walking involved, as expected, and I would advise everyone to come hungry to both tours. Thoroughly worthwhile and good value and I would recommend the experience to all.
