Nowadays most of the tourists attraction points are modified or rebuilt, but this one with a concept of “ last working day was yesterday” is excellent that shows workers real situation. Very clear explanation by tour guide in english. Flexible arrangement. Recommended.

Visitors gradually walk along the same route along which miners came to work in the morning - cloakroom, guild room, lamp room and lift. Will visit machine and compresor room (is considered unique - dating from 1912), dispatching, office of the geologist, room first aid...More

The concept here is to give a mine tour with the last day of work was yesterday. Everything is just as it was. I saw where the miners keep their street and mining clothes, the food area, the medical area, the map of the mine,...More

We were guided by former mineworker with very deep knowledge about all processes and details. On the top he was very entertaining and great with the group. We spent three hour tour and I enjoyed every second of it.

Even though the mine is buried and won't be accessible any more, the tour provides a lovely time to spend amidst the industrial magnificence of black 'n golden age of Ostrava's mining history. I loved the running belt-propelled-motor-thing!

This museum is in a wonderfully preserved colliery which is in pretty much the same state it was in when it closed in 1994. All the exhibits are in their original location - there are no new buildings or anything from similar mines to build...More

I consider this place better and more interesting than the similar Landek Park Museum (but instead of Landek, in Michal Colliery you do not go underground, the exhibits are only above). Note that the tour start only at 9:00h, 11:00h, 13:00h, 15:00h and 17:00h. Very...More
