A beautifull cathedral that is poetic and inspiring. I loved photos that were taken when there was still corona, they hung them inside - the photos show people believing in it getting better and wanting to feel closer to god even though it was difficult-. The cathedral is a beautiful place and an old mister that was so generous to show us this place, explained the history of this place. Beautiful visit.

Monumental, beautiful cathedral. There are benches in front of the cathedral, so people can sit there and enjoy beauty of this rich decorated building. Entrance is free and it's worth to go in. The gotic architecture is simply amazing. There is a souvenir shop in the crypt of the cathedral.

The Church of St. Wenceslas in Olomouc has a long and rich history, similar to the Church of St. Vitus in Prague. The Prague Church as a rotunda was founded in the first half of the 10th century, the church in Olomouc is less than 200 years younger. Now both of these churches appear to be magnificent cathedrals.

It was like any other church in this part of Europe. Great from outside and not so great from inside.
Good for visit but nothing special.
More to do with history of the place.

The cathedral is medieval but was partially reconstructed in 19th century. A nice little park with benches outside. Well accessible.

Beautiful church, very intimate, due to fires, etc., has been rebuild many times. Beautifully finished inside, the painted designed on the walls and columns was breathtaking. We were meet at the door by a guide who took us thought the whole church, including the treasury. Guide spoke very good English.

Anybody who appreciates history should come to this place. It is a magnificent structure with rich decoration inside out, and priceless church artifacts. The mystic atmosphere is multiplied by burial chamber for church dignitaries. It is at the lowest level and even during the hottest summer, it is "creepy" cold there. One floor above is (or was) a small exhibition regarding the rich religion history of the region. If you are lucky, you can meet very helpful people there, who will take you beyond the ordinary tourist experience - like breathtaking (literally) climb up one of the towers - it is for strong people only, though. Not just physically, but mentally as well - to stand on the narrow open round-about platform near the tower peak is actually the easy part, after negotiating the never-ending spiral of steps which will challenge anybody with just the hints of claustrophobia, acrophobia, nyctophobia, chiroptophobia, ornitophobia, and other phobias. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! Regardless if you get to some "forbidden" places or not, you will be in awe, how people so many centuries ago could built such impressive and ever lasting monumental buildings. And one more thing - no wonder they call Olomouc "Little Prague". Get here before it becomes so hopelessly stuffed with the tourists as Prague is. Prague is a place to see, Olomouc is a place to enjoy!

This is a cathedral which was rebuilt several times. Today it is a mixture of roman, gothic. Full of very warm colors. The towers can be seen from far away.

Plenty of parking, that's a plus. Quite lot to see, make sure you look at the lower floors. Allow an hour to see everything.
