Olomouc become on of our favourite city in Czech Republic, hidden by distance from Prague although so easily reachable by train ( we hop on yellow one and it was great, just 2 hours from Prague, but felt much nicer then usual destinations around Prague such Kutna hora, or Pilsen ) City hall is located in the heart of main... This year (2016) I was in the fair city of Olomoc. I was there 3.-5. of May and I experienced a feeling of the past and the present. I alway go to the Town Square as the fist thing. I stood still for some time and listened to people speaking in Czeck from a rostrum. I asked what happend and... More

You should go there for at least three reasons: a - located in the very heart of the town, b - it houses the information centre, c - you can take part in the organized walk, climb up the tower and study historic expositions inside the building. This building is really beautiful and they serve a really good ice coffee... More

The Town Hall is in the center of the old town square. There is a good restaurant (Caeser's) which has an outdoor patio during the summer. During the summer, you can sit at the café/restaurant Kavarna Opera (across from the "Turtle" and dolphin fountain) on the patio and watch all of the wedding ceremonies coming out of the Town Hall.... This is a fabulous Town Hall which looks splendid from all sides. It contains an Information Centre which has handy free street maps of Olomouc Centre. On one side is the Astronomical Clock, which always draws big crowds. I am honour bound to give the Town Hall good marks as it is where I got married ! !

The town hall is on the main square and it is a dominant of the city centre. It has very funny astronomical clock, that were re-built in the communist era, so you will find handball player, industrial worker or chemist there:-) The town hall has nice inside square and sometimes the watch-out tower is open as well...

A stunning building, it looks beautiful whether day or night and in all seasons. It is worth viewing the astronomical clock at midday at least once.
