Interesting place to visit
Nov 2019
It is a very well presented collection with most objects labelled in very good English as well as Czech. The Archbishop of Olomouc was a major political player in European history and this museum really allows you to understand the roots of his power. The volunteer ladies appear somewhat stern but are actually very friendly and willing to help although they do not all speak English.

Great museum during peak season
Oct 2019 • Couples
This museum was surprisingly well translated and had plenty of English to enable you to understand the history of the area. Although it’s better to come here between May to September where everything is open to the public, it was also great to see most of the exhibits with much less people. The curators in each room were super friendly which is a first for me and very eager and willing to speak with you albeit with what little English some of them possess. Really appreciated the attentive service which you probably will only receive during off peak so there’s pros and cons on when you come. Fantastic collection.

Interesting museum

If you find yourself in Olomouc this and the Vaclava Cathedral are the things to see.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the museum, lots of different things to see and the entrance was free on the Saturday we visited.

Great religious objects
Jul 2018
Some amazing religious objects and a fun building to walk through. We enjoyed the experience. You can walk through the entire building on your own. The tour takes you through many levels and is very easy to do. No guilde is required.

Better than the cathedral
Mar 2019 • Couples
Just at the cathedral you will find this excellent museum. If you have little time, visit the museum instead of the church. Very well organized, a lot of valuable requisits on display.

Lovely building; quite extensive displays

Really enjoyed wandering round the building - the way being pointed out by a large team of mature Czech ladies. Some of the art was very impressive, if the net result of seeing so many crucifixion scenes was a bit gruelling.

One of unforgotable highlights of Olomouc
Jan 2019 • Family
I am local patriot, …. but if I can spread the experiencies of my friends from other part of Czechia or Europe or the rest of world, that is one of the best and pleasant suprise of their visit of Olomouc. It is a perfect combination of medieval architecture, with modern reconstruction, collection of religious artefacts, awesome golden archiepiscopal coach, contemporary exhition etc. etc.
It is on the same place as St. Wencel Cathedral and Roman Bishop Palais.

Supreme Olomouc Attraction
Dec 2018 • Solo
You never know what to to expect when you walk into a local museum. It could be great, mediocre or a "how do I get out of here without insulting anybody" experience. Well this Olomouc experience is definitely of the first. Indeed, it justifies, on its own, a trip to this city. It is modern, superbly laid out, fascinating and indeed well worth the visit. If you go for things religious, this is for you. It's right next to the cathedral, which is really not a great experience (a 19th century bishop had the dopey idea of transforming it into a neo-gothic ho-hum), which itself is not easy to find. But in the museum from the moment you vision upon the golden archiepiscopal golden coach to the view out of the window of a distant monastery (don't forget to look), this place is a wonder.
