The Archdiocesan Museum is housed in the renovated buildings. The tour includes the Romanesque Bishop's Palace and the Chapel of St. Barbara. The architecture is beautiful. The museum sits on the wall of the city and has a nice garden behind.

A thousand years of spiritual culture in Moravia. Check their website. It's a Museum of religious artefacts over 3 floors. From an excavated crypt (bit like a bunker entrance) to first floor. Statutes, paintings, silks and the treasure room of gold chalices and monstrances. A good visit and educational.

It's a bit of a quirky visit as you are being directed where to go by the volunteers. The small circular chapel is stunning and quite unexpected. Many beautiful paintings and statues. The carriage and armoury housing the gold items are worthy of particular mention.

This was great. Volunteers in each room answer any questions with enthusiasm and guide you along. Definitely get the headphones to get deeper understanding of what you are seeing. Beautiful collections throughout the millenia, from original foundations and shards through Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, etc....there is even a room devoted to Mozart, including a sheet of his music. A great way... More

Listening devices guided us through this modern museum, with information on the towns archeology, origins, and varous periods in history, including the fact that Mozart composed a symphony here.Room guides tried to be helpful but had no English - still able to point out things we should be looking at
