The early-20th cent. villa has been nicely restored. It contains little original furniture, but the structure itself is original and likeable. There was a good, well-informed guide and also an interesting temporary exhibition of young textile designers.

I'm a fan of Jurkovič architecture, so it was a great pleasure for to see finally this vila. The garden is nice and even the trees are grown and vila is surrounded by houses which weren't there one hundred years ago. I read that the reconstruction done by Norway grants was very successful, however if you compare with Tugendhat, I... More

Lovely villa in a peaceful part of town. We enjoyed the walk there, spotting interseting architceture as we went. The villa itself is not spectacular like Villa Tugendhat, but well worth visiting

House of Slovak architect Jurkovic full of history, worth visiting if you know who he was and is his heritage.

The Jurkovic Villa is situated in a medium-sized and well-kept garden in the suburbs of Brno. The house has recently been opened to the public, but since it is a little off the beaten track you may find that there are not many other visitors there. Please note that you are not allowed to walk around in the house on... More

This is the villa of Dusan Jurkovic, who was a very famous architect and he is quite famous due to his specific style! I have enjoyed his mixture of traditional Czech and English housing with a number of improvements not seen at the time in the city. The house looks pretty fairy-tale-like, but at the same time, the functionality of... More

This villa is now open for public and is a part of Moravian gallery so you have a chance to learn more about Dusan Jurkovic who designed this beautiful house for his own family but also about architecture generally. Although it is not in the centre of the town, the location is nice.
