About
10-Z is the most highly classified nuclear fallout shelter in Brno from the Communist era to protect the city's and region's representatives. It had been built during the Nazi occupation as a civil defense (Luftschutz) shelter from U.S. and Soviet bombardment of Brno. A total of 600 people could be housed for 3 days. It serves as a cultural space from May 2016. You may visit also its retro bar.

Hostel placed in actuall bunker! Sleeping in cells, surrounded by many artefacts from the unfamous communist time. You can walk around for free or join the guide (daily at 7pm). The staff is helpful and the location is perfect. The only minus is the breakfast - retro is ok but too much retro is not ok. And instant coffee just shouldn't be there.

Enjoyed wandering round this museum - took a good half hour and seemed fair value. A lot of it is in Czech but don't let that put you off - as you make your way round there are short informative video clips either in English or with subtitles so you can get the gist about life in the cold War era. Enjoyed our time here, a bit different

Underground trenches, the walls are built of human bones and skulls, which have been transferred from the abandoned cemetery in the past.

different experience. it's not usual to see such "building", from strange part of history. it gives us just a part of the way of thinking from cold war period. tour itself takes about 30 minutes.

This place is really cool. A bunker from world war 2 and the cold war. The television displays through the bunker tell the story in a nice way. Recommended for an hour visit or so.

Situated in city center. Monument of past times. Good example of past regimes and it's hysteria. Good opportunity to see pieces of life from past times.

Must visit place in Brno.A bunker used by Germans during World War Two. A lot of equipment of that age. Excellent place to visit during hot day.

This nuclear fallout shelter was built to protect the local political representatives. Every visitor receives a map and explores the shelter by himself. The atmosphere of this place is quite dark and cold I don't recommend this program to children or people who suffer from claustrophobia. Personally, I found the objects and the layout interesting, however the videos about this era shocked me badly. At the end of the tour we can sit in a little bistro with retro vibes where we can order from the nicest local stuff and discuss what we saw.
