The vast cemetery laid out by the entrance to Mala Pevnost (Small Fortress), contains the graves of more than 2,300 individuals, plus numerous others who remain unidentified. A tall Christian cross with a ring of thorns made from barbed towers above the graves. It was erected in 1992. A smaller Star of David, made from railroad rails, was placed closer to the prison wall in 1995.
The cemetery is thoughtfully placed to prepare you for the horrors inflicted on the inmates of Mala Pevnost, and all of Terezin.

Rather uninformative once again. You get inside the crematorium, you see a place that's still undergoing maintenance after a flood damage. Has alot of potential for a better exhibition if they put up more pictures about the atrocious conditions.

The cemetery was the last thing we visited in Terezin and while we were there, there was Jewish tour group finishing a ceremony in the graveyard. It was very touching and the only place I really found comfort. It was sunny day and 98 degrees in the shade but seeing the joy at the end of the ceremony was the first positive experience in an otherwise dark place.
Also at the cemetery is a furnace. Terezin was not a "death camp" but thousands died here from the conditions and they were cremated here. In addition, there a moving ceremonial garden that recognizes all the counties where the occupants of the camp came from. Again it was another moving part of the visit

A very sobbering experience to visit the Jewish Cemetery at Terezin. Visiting all of the sites of Terezin gives you the feel of what the camp must have been like.

Top opinion.
First time to a concentration camp.
It was Amazing.
Sad, but in the same time educational.
We had the best guide ever.
Petra.
Thank you

This cemetery is a mass grave, with numerous monument around the vast area. When we were there the weather was sombre as was our mood as you take in the magnitude of what happened here.

To view the cemetery and see only 2000 marked graves is sad, when so many more died there. It must bring much pain to those who know their loved ones were buried in mass graves. It is a sobering experience

Hey, it’s a cemetery, what do you expect? Gravesites used for over 600 years. Walk through history. Interesting, but not necessary to spend a lot of time here.

I visited this place and was aided by a guide. They described the layout well, explained the reasoning behind the layout and aided me through the museum well explaining some of the pictures meanings.
