Telc is absolutely worth a visit. We didn't plan for more than a pizza-stop, but ended up exploring this exciting, beautiful, historic, story-telling city for a whole day. If interested in periodic architecture and art, especially Trompe L'Oeuil, this is the place to explore. Amazingly detailed and such a lovely color pallette around the whole city. Lots of good pubs... More

Looking at the colored facades of these toy houses one can hardly imagine people really live in them. Although the spot is pretty far from the main tourist centers and quite away from the highways it definitely worth a visit.

Gorgeous town to walk around, with a lot of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Although the parking is quite pricey!

This is the town I liked most on our trip, except Cesky Krumlov, Prague and Karlvy Vary. The most interesting thing here in my opinion is the town square, which is huge (if I'm not mistaken - the rd largset in the Czech Republic), with beautiful bas-relief and sgraffito decorated houses. You can cover the square and admire the houses... More

I planned a one day/night stay in Telc as a break from our busy trip and I was righ! While the city has some tourists it's not nearly as busy and crazy as many other places and turned out to be a nice relaxing stop during our travels. The square is absolutely charming, we even stayed in on of the... More

We spend here all day. There is not much to do, but still, I would recommend visiting city of Telc. It was not crowded and buildings are amazing! Perfect for walking around and exploring details on buildings. You can also enjoy in one of many restaurants or cafes, drinking ridiculous cheap (but good!) beer. Very nice!

The main square is the most significant sight in Telc. It is lined with well-preserved Renaissance and Baroque houses with high gables and arcades. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. It is a shame that parking is allowed on the square, it is ruining the whole romantic farytail image of this site. The town is very... More

We didn't have much time to spend here, but what we saw impressed us. We should have planned for a longer, perhaps an overnight stay. Nicer feel to it than Trebic, Trebon, Jindrichuv Hradec and Ceske Budejovice. Go for it!
