Our family spent an incredible day with Pavel visiting Terezin at the start of January. We were picked up from our hotel on time by Pavel who filled our journey to Terezin with historical information and energetic stories on the way including stopping at the site of Heydrich’s assassination. His passion and detailed knowledge regarding Terezin and the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia are amazing. He has spent a long time speaking with survivors from Terezin and this comes across in how he brings his stories to life, standing on the spots where they happened. He kept us enthralled all day, including our 11 year old. On the way back, Pavel also went out out of his way so that we could collect some medication from a pharmacy. Highly recommend touring with Pavel.

We wanted an in depth, historical tour of Jewish Prague and booked Yvonne (who also has a wonderful social media page) for our tour. She is everything you could want in a guide/historian - knowledgeable, passionate, articulate and she paced our tour beautifully. She made Jewish Prague come alive and shared insights you could never get by reading a guidebook. If you have the chance - this tour is transformative. Thank you Yvonne!!

I was in Prague to visit my son who is studying there, and we were fortunate to be able to have Pavel Batel be our guide for a private day trip to Terezin. First impressions: Pavel is courteous and energetic. Pavel picked us up at my hotel and he began sharing information and stories immediately and throughout the ride to Terezin to prepare us for the day. Pavel’s knowledge, energy, passion made our tour the best we have ever encountered. The Terezin “Czech” history regarding Terezin is complicated to say the least as it is not simply the work camp and propaganda location as depicted by the Nazis. Pavel guides you through Terezin in a concise, informative, honest and respectful manner. If you want a vanilla tour, this is not for you. Pavel has spent many years interviewing survivors and researching Terezin beneath the surface. The way he conveys the suffering of the people sent to Terezin, the slave labor and starvation, the atrocities inflicted by the Nazis on anyone who was at Terezin (Jewish people and non-Jewish people), it affects you emotionally. When he tells you a story that happened on the very spot on which you are standing, you are transported back in time. The stories and information he has discovered over the his years of research is a gift we were fortunate to be able to share. It’s an emotional experience for sure, but we are grateful that we had Pavel to educate us.

Thank you, Stefan. Your words mean everything to me. Your deep interest in both stories (Terezin ghetto and Terezin Small fort) woke me up again. Because of people like you, I will finish my fourth novel full of untold and forgotten Terezin stories. I will never forget you. My research is constantly in front of me... Pavel Batel

Pavel and Yvonne were our Guide in Terezin - and it was a phantastic experience. Pavel seems to know every corner of the City and had thrilling and sad Stories on everything we saw there. We walked more than six hours through Terezin and the small fortress, it felt like we were there in the dark days.I had read a lot about Terezin before, but Pavel and Yvonne knew much much more than what you can read. We can highly recommend them, you wont find a better tourguide.

My daughter and I took the privat Jewish Quarter Tour with Alice. She was outstanding. Alice shared personal stories, history, legend and lore. She took us through a fascinating history of Jewish life in Prague through the centuries. The neighborhoods, temples, museums and cemetary were all brought to life for us through Alice. I would highly reccomend this tour to everyone interested in history and culture. Thank you Alice for an unforgetable experience.

We were picked up at our hotel by this lovely young lady Ana. We hopped in a cab and went to the Jewish Quarter. Ana was informative, personable, very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject.
Here own personal story is fascinating.

Yvonne’s knowledge and passion for the history of Czech jewery is immeditlaey noticeable and impressive. It is clear that she enjoys giving these tours almost as much as we enjoyed going on the tour with her, her eyes are always on a swivel and looking for new information or clues about history herself - to both share with us and learn for herself.

Her tour was an invaluable 3 hours, and I felt lucky to learn about Prague’s Jewish history from someone who is so passionate about it. Had we toured these sites on our own we would have missed scores of information that she was able to provide to us. She was enthusiastically able to answer all of our questions and plan on recommending her tour to anyone I know visiting Prague.
