This is a good way to spend an hour and 11 euros. They take you to the Lesser Town Square and climb the steep hill adjacent, something you may not otherwise do. I could not say this activity was relaxing as a good proportion of the trip is over the old cobbles and the end result being a full body massage you had not planned on!

We had a lack of time and wanted to enjoy a ride through the oldtown of Prague. We have a kid which liked to train.

The kid was for free and we took a stop and a walk through the Prague castle and then later took the train back to the Oldtown square.

The service is OK, the kid was for free..so we enjoyed, much better than a bus, stylish and easy going..

This is a great way to see how the different quarters/areas of the city all fit together. The train takes you places you may not normally go - up a very steep hill!
The only down side to this attraction is all the shaking and bumping along. However, if you're looking to loose a few kilos, definitely give it a try!
The accompanying commentary while basic was enough to give you an overview of the city.

I am reviewing this attraction because I am disappointed to see that it only has two reviews and rates far too low as something to do in Prague. If you are aged between 1 and 100 this is a fun way to see parts of the city, especially if you are not very capable on your feet and would struggle with the amount of walking, hills and steps to climb. The little train starts in the Old Town Square and takes an hour long to complete the tour. If you have small children with you it is a must! It takes you through the old town and over the river with a view of Charle's Bridge, then around the government buildings, up through Nerudova Street to Prague Castle, and back down through the Jewish Quarter where you will see the Old and New Synagogue. This was simply fun and quaint to do and the price was reasonable for the family.

I am really surprised the amount of positive reviews about this. It was not worth the cash. You can not hear a word the tape is saying due to how noisy the train is going over all the cobblestones. You can not get a good picture of anything as it races past things bar the palace which it stops in the palace square. Also it says to look at things but when you look they are either far in the distance or you get a rubbish view as they are behind trees. Hardly saw any of the Jewish Quarter. You are better just walking round.

This tour was pathetic. Where to start?
The tape describing the attractions is drowned out by the noise the (fake) train makes as it passes along the cobblestone streets. There is little information at any rate.
The cabin is choked with exhaust fumes from the drivers cabin leaving you nauseous and unwell.
Photos are impossible due to the rough ride. Videos? Forget it.
It’s uncomfortable, smells, is loud, cold and just awful.
Do yourself a favour and jam your hand in a drawer repeatedly for an hour. Less painful.....

Caught the train in the Old Town Square and paid 340ck each. The trip with English and German commentary took us through the streets of Prague up to the castle and back taking about an hour. But you need to remember much of the journey is over cobbled streets and you need your own suspension because there's not much on the carriages -- might be painful for anyone with back problems etc. Nevertheless it was a brilliant way to take a look round the city.

A lovely sedate way to see both new and old towns, good clear multi lingual commentary. The only complaint is god it needs some thicker seats to absorb all those cobbled and tram tracked roads coz dam it's bumpy...

This train winds through all the narrow streets of Prague and takes you to parts of Prague you would never see by yourself. The best parts are on the castle side of the river which is quite hilly and they take you up the steepest street in Prague where a number of famous people had lived. You go all around the castle area as well as along the river and around the old town.

The trip takes about an hour and is great value. Just remember that it has rubber wheels travelling on cobblestone roads so it is quite bumpy. They provide a good commentary in various languages along the way so you understand what you are looking at.

Omg. This was the absolute worst, bumpy ride ever! I had a headache by the time it ended. The rumble was so loud I could not hear the the English explanations as we passed sites.
Additionally, this is not hope on/off. It only allows passengers to get off near the castle courtyard. Otherwise you are on for the duration of the trip
I thought it as a bit expensive as well. Other tour options are available all over the Old Town square. Check them out before making a decision.
