An hour-long city train ride.
The train leaves from the edge of the old town square and goes around many historical sites. An adult ticket costs about 12€ and when you buy a ticket you get a map of the route with information about the route in the background, but the train provides information over the loudspeakers throughout the journey, so you can focus on seeing what you see and listening to the commentary.
A nice way to get to know the city.

We thought it would be cute to go around in the choo choo train. But sometimes the audio did not match the locations. Also due to the short room we could not see tall buildings and monuments. And close to a big monument and palace it stopped by these treees so we could not see the monument in the square at all. We saw lots of tourists taking a tour in old vintage open roof type cars. That looked like a lot of fun especially in a nice day. I wish we had taken the car ride

Good value and commentary is great along the route of history and fun facts. All the major sites are covered and able to take great pictures along the way. This would have been a much higher rating but have to comment on the seats as these were so very uncomfortable. Had to keep moving around so was glad when it was over. Please make the seating bearable as this is a quaint and fun way to see the city

Panoramic tour that has very little panoramic...
We chose this train to admire the sights of Prague from a different perspective. What can I say, bad choice.
Although on the site and on the map given to us at the time of Reservation was indicated a certain route and a duration of about an hour our experience ended in only 40 minutes and with a different route does the one indicated. No passage in via Nerudova and no passage in Mala Strana.
Let's say that a little more clarity and fairness would have been enough to be able to assess whether or not to make the round. We certainly felt fooled.
The only positive note is the audio guide in Italian that allowed our children to understand what they were seeing...
In short, if you want to admire Prague and its beautiful streets take a nice walk, save money and enjoy more of the wonders of this city.

Beautiful tour of the city aboard the train, an opportunity to discover curiosities and notice what "with the naked eye" you would not see. The audio guide in Italian was exhaustive and the driver stopped at the most interesting points to enjoy both the explanations and the view. It's worth the trip!

Sorry as we have already had several city trips with bucket train rides I have to write that this was the worst we had used. The 1 hour it should last went only 50 minutes and of that the driver took another 12 minutes break at Prague Castle to have a small talk with his colleague. Better invest a few euros more and drive a small bus. There you also have German translation via headphones. At Bimmelbahn only Spanish, Czech and English without headphones.

Arguably the least enjoyable hour we spent in Prague. Obviously the weather is out of the tour operators control, but a vehicle without air conditioning in 31 degree heat made for a very uncomfortable experience. The audio didn’t always match up to our location, for example we could be told to look at the house on the left and we would see a park instead. There were a few extended stops along the way which were unnecessary and ultimately only occurred so the trip actually lasted an hour! In our opinion, it would be much better to say it’s a 45 minute tour & not waste people’s time. The train was not made to drive on cobblestones. This made for a bumpy ride, and to be quite frank, left my bum sore.

What a waste of money. We had no idea what we were looking at as there was no commentary and the only time the driver stopped was to talk on his phone, which was often.
Wander around the old town and catch tram 22 if you want to see the sights.
What we paid was enough to buy Dinner for 2.
Again, don’t waste your money.

This is a good way to spend an hour and 11 euros. They take you to the Lesser Town Square and climb the steep hill adjacent, something you may not otherwise do. I could not say this activity was relaxing as a good proportion of the trip is over the old cobbles and the end result being a full body massage you had not planned on!

I am reviewing this attraction because I am disappointed to see that it only has two reviews and rates far too low as something to do in Prague. If you are aged between 1 and 100 this is a fun way to see parts of the city, especially if you are not very capable on your feet and would struggle with the amount of walking, hills and steps to climb. The little train starts in the Old Town Square and takes an hour long to complete the tour. If you have small children with you it is a must! It takes you through the old town and over the river with a view of Charle's Bridge, then around the government buildings, up through Nerudova Street to Prague Castle, and back down through the Jewish Quarter where you will see the Old and New Synagogue. This was simply fun and quaint to do and the price was reasonable for the family.

Kann man irgendwo aussteigen und mit der vorhandenen Fahrkarte später in die nächste Bahn wieder einsteigen, oder muss man eine neue Fahrkarte kaufen?

We would like to get off at Loretta. Can we do this and wait for next train to return to start of trip?

Not at the Loretto, but you can get off at the Prague Castle and then walk over to the Loretto, which is about a 3-5 min walk, and then get back on the train when you are done! They run every 30-40 min, depending on traffic and other factors 😊
