We were picked up at the hotel by Tomáš and introduced to the pilot, Lukáš, who then drove us and another couple of tourists to the site of take off which was approximately 45 minutes from the centre of Prague. I cannot remember the name of the castle which was near where we took off but it was very beautiful and picturesque as it was in the heart of the countryside.
Upon arrival to the site we left the van and the team got straight to work setting up the balloons.
It was a fascinating thing to watch. We offered help where we could but were mainly told to relax.
A short while later the balloon was ready for flight so we all piled into the basket (which was surprisingly spacious for fitting 5 people in!!) and off we went.
The views were absolutely breathtaking and Lukáš pointed out different landmarks to us and answered any questions we had.
He was very friendly and humorous! Joking along with us all and generally just putting us all at ease. We were all first time balloon fliers so were quite nervous!
We were up in the air for around 1 hour and as I said before the views were beautiful!!
Landing was very smooth, very impressive given balloons must be difficult to control and steer!

After landing, we were all wondering how long it would be until we would be picked up (as we were miles away from our starting point!) when Tomáš showed up not 5 minutes later as it turned out he'd been following the balloon the whole time! Very efficient!!
We all packed the balloon away and Tomáš and Lukáš told us of the history of ballooning which was very interesting as it was something none of us knew!
After the history lesson, we were informed we would be taking part in a ceremony before being awarded our certificates.
I won't post too much detail on the ceremony as I don't want to spoil the surprise for other people who may read this and go on the balloon ride.
But I will say the ceremony was very fun and both Lukáš and Tomáš were very friendly, telling us stories etc.
We were driven back to our hotels and bid farewell by the both of them.

It really was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Lukáš and Tomáš especially made the trip worthwhile with their friendly and fun personalities.

I checked an item off my bucket list :) we were very lucky to find them and for them to be free on a sunny day. The whole experience was really amazing. They picked us up from the hotel, we drove for about 45 minutes outside of Prague and we got to see the whole process from the beginning, how you inflate the huge balloon (very interesting btw). We then flew right by a castle and a lake and there were forests and hills and towns. We could see a lot of deer and we even saw some wild pigs. We got up as high as 600 meters and the whole ride was really really smooth. At the end we got a diploma and had a fun little ritual and were served champagne. Highly, highly recommended!

We are happy you enjoyed the adventure with us. We like showing the beauty of ballooning to our clients :) You were lucky for the weather - it was one of the first beautiful and sunny days of the year - the spring is here! The main ballooning season is starting and our pilots cannot wait for more flights like the one with you.

Friendly crew and professionally executed hot air balloon trip. We were picked up by the hotel and started off with a 45 min trip by car to the countryside. On a grassy field the crew started inflating the balloon and after about 30 min we were ready to lift off. What an amazing feeling to go up in the air with the balloon! The view is amazing with all the colors of autumn. We flew over some small villages, fields and forests. When we were going low we could hear the sonds on the ground and even shout Hello to the people waiving to us below. Next up was finding a suitable landing spot. The pilot had to try a couple of times to get us down on the ground. The landing was smooth and the pickup car was there after a few minutes. The crew packed down the balloon and after that we had the traditional balloon ceremony with Champagne as the sun was setting. An amazing experience!

We had once a lifetime experience with balloon ride.
Our pilot Lucas was friendly and during whole flight he kept informing about village side we were flying over.
Based on weather you should plan this activity and preferable in evening time is best.

Thank you for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed the flight with us and saw the Czech republic also from the bird's eye view. I have to say, in the summer, I personally prefer the early morning flights - the nature is fresh and waking up, you can see the animals, the birds are singing and then, after the flight, the sun up and you are standing in a field with a glass od champagne in your hand for breakfast. Well, evening flights and seeing the sun setting is of course beautiful as well...hard to choose.
