The area
Neighborhood: Malá Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

I wanted to have a look at these as there are a few David Cerny statues in and around Prague.
They were a lot bigger than I thought they would be.
I had to Google what the faces were on these statues and apparently they are slot machine faces, go figure.
Still, they are odd and quirky and bit of fun to see if you are in the area. I did like everyone else and jumped on the back of one for a photo. Good fun.

These statues are the only ugly things I’ve seen in Prague!
Came across them in Kampa Park the other day. Not sure why they are cluttering up an otherwise pleasant area. Ugly, uglier, ugliest - take your pick!

It really is ugly !

Sculpture by David Cerny. His bizarre , oversized sculptures are all around Prague,
Taking up and ruining perfectly nice grassy corner space in the beautiful Kampa park.

Prague is known for beautiful art ...this is not it !

Just my opinion, of course.

We walked by those babies but didn't really stop to look close. There is something so uninteresting and unappealing about those sculptures that I really didn't even care to think and try to define it.

Crawling Babies. They are huge and ugly! Few people will reluctantly agree with me.
I remember the beautiful park without them.
Now the small patch of grass is crowded with tourists climbing all over the babies taking selfies. With all the commotion, they are missing a wonderful view of the river and the National theater across the river just steps behind them.

I wonder how many creepy creations are in Mr. Cerny's backyard? One thing is certain, he is having fun.

Oh, and watch your step, the dogs for a reason unknown to me like to pay a "visit".

I don't really know what to say about this one, other than it's just bizarre and fun to take photos at.

The huge somewhat strange sculpture and its setting in a big green park are interesting. Very few people venture to this place but the short walk from Charles bridge to hear go through some picturesque neighborhoods, small parks and streets of Prague.

...and freaky too! We were in a tour group of about 20 people. This was a stop in the tour. The freaky part of the face. I have never heard of the artist, but came home and researched and still don't get it. But while there, you really should go!

Quirky set of sculptures but definitely worth the visit if you’re on that side of the bridge as it isn’t far from a lot of other sites to see. It is also right next to the river so great views, if just passing through to see them
