Neighborhood: Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

Quite easy to miss the entrance to these gardens. Look for the big statue in the square at the intersection of 28 Října and Jungmannova. The gardens are behind the square.

Lovely place to relax and enjoy the environment. The Church of Our Lady of the Snows provides a beautiful backdrop.

Such a pretty little spot. Lovely in every season, but at it's absolute best when the roses are in bloom.

Located between Wenceslas and Jungmanovo Square it is never crowded , such a contrast from the areas that surround it. There is a nice playground hidden to the side. WC facilities are close to the entry gate at Jungmanovo Square.

We take a walk through once during our stay. For the old times sake ....

After a busy day on streets of Prague with my boyfriend, we needed a bit of rest. And where could we do that? At this nice garden, where you can chill on benches, watch other tourist (right next to us there were a small group with an interesting guide and we maybe learned a thing or two more about the Prague just with eavesdropping them), or you can grab something to snack in places close by (there is a nice place called Ovocný Světozor in a passage close by, where you can get different desserts or some other stuffs to snack). If you are planning a trip to Prague, i highly recommend you checking a YouTube channel Honest Guide, where i found a lot of different places and interesting things in Prague.

Threre is nothing really special in that place. I found it while going to a skate shop nearby, but I admit it was a good place for a little break. To sit down, relax and have a cigaret on the bench.

I was taking some to time by myself to see the sights of New Town area. I had read about the Garden but I was not exactly sure where it is. It is the green space next to Our Lady of Snows which you can't miss because of its height. This is a great, quiet green oasis in the busy new town area. Despite all the activity, this was still fairly open an underutilized. I enjoyed the flowers, plants and interesting statues. Again another nice find when you are walking the city.

Amazing garden and an oasis of silence right in the center of a big city - I love this place very much!

This is not an easy garden to find--it is down a very hidden path lined with buildings and obscured by a very nice church. Prague is a very lovey city, but it lacks a lot of greenery--it reminds us a bit of Florence Italy in that way (both have wonderful buildings, but a lack of trees). After we have been in a city for a few days with not much landscaping or flowers, we try to find refuge. Sadly, this little park did not help us all that much.

The park is very small and not very well tended. The plants are a bit dull and there is not all that much in bloom. The paths are uninspired and the sculptures not that great. The one building in the center is cute, but it looks to be a commercial enterprise not really related to a park.

We did walk through the park in front of the main train station to get here. That park is better in terms of greenery, but a bit depressing with the homeless people living/sleeping in it. I suggest that you look for others to satisfy your gardening desires!

It's nice to take a stroll here, especially when there aren't many people around as it's extremely small. It's pretty and quiet, even in winter. Otherwise, it's not much. If you are around here drop in for a quick look and rest on the benches.

Franciscan garden is a gaeden located in the center of Prague, where you can walk alone, with children or with animals. Here there is a children park, where they can enjoy a lot. Also, in the park, there is a bar, where you can relax and eat or drink something. A good place to come woth the family. I came here with my daughter and she liked this place. She was playing more than 1 hour.

Františkánská Garden is an unexpected place, that you can find in the middle of Prague, only few meters from Wenceslas Square. The garden is not big, but very peaceful. There are benches, where you can sit and relax - out of the city rush. There are flower beds and a lot of green. There is a playground for kids across the street.
