Contains a temporary exhibition (one large room) and permanent exhibition (several rooms). The glass art pieces shown are all very beautiful, highly impressive and well presented. English explanations along with Czech on the walls and in the explanatory brochure. We were all very happy we found this little gem, well worth the few Euros per person and the time spent.

This museum building is such an evocative looking building ,such a photogenic building ,never visited the museum ,not sure it's open but I took some photo's of this building before the snow came down .
A great looking building, one I highly recommend you seek out if you're walking down Stefanikova.

In a city justifiably famous for its great architecture walking around most any street throws up an awesome looking building, along Stefanikova there are several impressive buildings and adjacent to Kostel Svateho Vaclava Smichovska is Portheimka Museum Skla.
This is an unusual looking building, its got some age attached to it but there's relatively no information available only the fact its a museum, it's a very photogenic building and well worth a few minutes of your time if you're walking down Stefanikova.

Passing Saint Wenceslas Church down Stefanikova I viewed Portheimka ,a nice museum housed in a fantastic looking building.
This building looks superb ,a wonderful piece of architecture that's one of the standout buildings in the Smichov District of Prague ( Praha 5 ) ,although I never dropped into the museum I did stop and admire this beautiful building,I took a few photos before moving onto Cafe Bar Positivo for a tasty early morning coffee,it's a building easy to locate along Stefanikova and is most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

A bit hard to find, but an unusual & interesting museum gallery. As with many Prague museums, you can see everything in a leisurely 30-45 minutes. While there isn't much explanation, many of the pieces & installations are intriguing. A bit out of the way, but worth a visit.
